Taken while travelling from BLR to LHR via DXB. Near the seating area of Gate A1 in Terminal 3 of DXB.
For a background, I was travelling from BLR IN to LHR GB via DXB on Emirates. Completing the first leg on Emirates EK567, I was going to catch EK5101 also known as Qantas QF001 at DXB. After boarding pass check at Gate A1, I was led to a seating area where I found these glass carvings, while waiting to board my flight.

For a background, I was travelling from BLR IN to LHR GB via DXB on Emirates. Completing the first leg on Emirates EK567, I was going to catch EK5101 also known as Qantas QF001 at DXB. After boarding pass check at Gate A1, I was led to a seating area where I found these glass carvings, while waiting to board my flight.
Chugging its way away from the environs of Wellington ,this northbound freight train hauled by a single GE DX class locomotive is fast approaching Porirua station.

Dxb 5143 overnights at Mainline Steam's Parnell Depot on the 8th August 2008. The locomotive would depart for Wellington the next morning with a Heritage train as the return leg of a special train to celebrate the 100th anniversary of a Parliamentary Special that was the first passenger train over the North Island Main Trunk from Wellington to Auckland in 1908.
