The last scene (probably!) from the April snow. I shot this scene a few times from different angles as I liked the arched trunk with the leading lines of the fallen trees, not to mention the dusting on the last of the beech leaves! But this one ended up being my favourite. Taken at Whiteleaf, Buckinghamshire.
A fresh dusting of snow layers over the top of Mount Oberlin. Mount Oberlin is just northwest of Logan Pass in Glacier National Park, Montana.
During this bull's dust bath, he would pause the wallowing and perform this stretch. He did this three times and each time I thought the dust bath was over and he was going to stand. But no, he would just stretch like this and then go right back to wallowing.
Photographed in Wind Cave National Park, South Dakota.
This strange picture is of a soil finisher that I was pulling through the field last night in preparation for planting. It has been a tough spring-excessive rain has delayed planting in our area considerably and there is a lot more on the way it looks like this coming week.We are normally done by this time, but we will probably only be 50% completed by the end of the day.The corn that has been planted is doing poorly as well.Added to this, grain prices are abnormally low for the second year in a row...
Taken through the back window at 6 mph in rough landscape,so not a great POV...
I guess the old saying is true-"you can't mess with Mother Nature"...

It's neither mist nor fog. It's Saharan dust which today covered Crete, hiding the sun. The south winds besides bringing the African dust, also increased the temperature to 26 degrees Celsius.
Enjoy.
dusting off the camera, hopefully circumstances permitting will give me opportunity to take some beautiful fall pictures :)
A cultivator crossing the fields created a huge dust cloud below Steptoe Butte.
Happy Truck Thursday!
The proprietors of this hotel keep their wine glasses dry and dust free by hanging them upside down above the bar. I liked the way that the light interacted with the curved surfaces.

I took this picture trough the window of a bus. Maybe it's not the best shot ever but I found it interesting to see how the sky turned yellow by the dust of the Sahara.

The way a crow shook down on me the dust of snow from a hemlock tree. Has given my heart a change of mood and saved some part of a day I had rued - Robert Frost
On my way back from South Lake I caught this little whirl of dirt.
I'm HOME!!!! Feels so good to be in my own bed. I got back at 1 am this morning. Work was great today.
The Milky Way over Hawker, South Australia. The forecast was clouds all night but it actually stayed pretty much clear. I did get a thin haze or something in my deep sky pics towards the morning so I gave up. This is from Castle Rock, the wind up there was so extreme I was concerned for the camera. Landscape lit a bit by a 10% moon, I'm not sure if its dust or airglow over Hawker. 3 shot vertical panorama stitched and processed in Photoshop.
