Primer registro de Clathrus archeri (Berk.) Dring , Kew Bull. 35 (1): 29 (1980) en Ecosistema de Humedal (identificado por primera vez en Bogotá D.C., Colombia, 2016)

Dedos del diablo (Clathrus archeri) macromiceto saprobio humícola, cuerpo fructífero (carpóforo/basidioma/basidiocarpo) epigeo, ovoide a subgloboso cuando es inmaduro y con forma de pulpo/dedos/brazos al madurar, de color rojizo y olor fétido.
Carpóforo inmaduro de 4 a 5 cm de diámetro, esponjoso, endoperidio de color blanco amarillento, exoperidio membranoso, frágil, de color marró; al realizar corte se torna de color purpura al igual que el micelio, siendo más evidente en los rizomorfos, en esta fase no presenta su característico olor fétido e intenso.
Carpóforo maduro con 4 a 7 brazos (lacinias) esponjosos de 10 a 14 cm de largo, libres en la parte apical, los cuales se engrosan y unen en la base. De consistencia gelatinosa y de color rojo rosáceo. Por su consistencia, olor, forma y color asemeja carne en estado de putrefacción. En el humedal la conejera se han llagado a registrar hasta 18 individuos (maduros y en volva) en aprox. 4 m.
Las esporas, dispuestas en las zonas oscuras, son diseminadas por insectos (principalmente dípteros y miriápodos) que se ven atraídos por su fuerte olor (sulfuro de hidrógeno y metil mercaptano). Respecto a su ecología, autores como Sarrionandia en el 2010, manifiestan la necesidad de profundizar en el potencial de este hongo como especie invasora.

J'aime bien les objets obsolètes. Les gestes qu'on ne fait plus. Ce fut donc un plaisir de mettre ce téléphone dans notre cuisine. Il est à roulette et a une sonnerie qui fait dring pour vrai, pas tu tu tu tu tu, dring!

I could not find the time to really do a good job on this one. I took this image dring May so I submitted it :)
Brief: Clarity
Shoot an image with Clarity, the quality of being coherent and intelligible, easy to see. Freedom from ambiguity.
Judges notes: When you're shooting your image to fulfil this month's Light Awards brief, look for a photograph that clearly offers up a story from the moment you lay eyes on it. The image can be composed and treated with subtlety, but the story should be very obvious. I'm hoping to see examples where camera skills have been used to clarify the story: whether it be to control of depth of field in a meaningful way; or how a particular shutter speed has been used to handle camera and/or subject movement. Don't forget to consider how your lens can affect the spatial relationships within the frame–how telephoto lenses can isolate subjects and compress perspective; while wide angles can steepen and exaggerate it. I often say that your task as a photographer is to create pictures that convince the viewer that they like them. Sometimes to convince people, you need to exaggerate a little, so don't be shy to make your point. Just like trying to win an argument. A final go-to tip: Don't include anything in the frame that doesn't play a part in the story you're telling. Think clear, concise messages. Choose pictures with clarity.
