Drips on high level bridge at sunrise

I was painting the duplex and then I would run outside and paint on the series of paintings I am working on. People would come by and I would have them pose or hold the skull. This is one result.

Recommend you view large.

A shot for a diptych competition. I produce the drip and someone else produces the splash.

I used a flower pattern behind the tap (faucet) and the refracted image is in the drip. Electronic flash, wireless fired provided the illumination and a Tamron macro lens was used for the exposure.

Experimenting with drips..

This was the most undisturbed White-faced Ibis I have ever seen. It feed in the lawn on earthworms, came to the creek where we were sitting and eventually worked its way down to within a couple feet of children playing in the creek. Very shaded but so much fun to watch.

The slow drip keeps the wood wet until it rots, then the rotten wet wood is a good place for moss to grow. Then a deep freeze puts everything on hold.

A bit damp of late.!

For 120 pictures in 2020 # 107 "Things that fall", these are water drops forming on a pergola rafter during a light rain. Most eventually did fall, although new ones immediately started forming.

Rainy day musings with dripping water.

It is hunting season here and I don't take to the woods, so I had to grab a shot from November of last year.

I spent Saturday evening trying another go at water drops with a different spin. For some reason I was really struggling with the timing, however, I got this one about right, I think.

I have yet to really experiment with water drop photography. It's quite challenging, especially if you are trying to do on the cheap side and don't have an assistant. Still, it was quite fun! I'd love to play around when I have some time. Just wish I had a Macro lens.

Thanks for visiting!
