Happy Mono Thursday...

Etta at the waterhole on a hot day ... it was our destination :)

Etta takes a breather on the log after running and playing hard with Kahn in the bush.

Water running off of a heart shape leaf.

Time to drip dry after a spot of serious fishing! I love the St. James's Park pelicans!

A bit busy for 3-4 days - may not have time to visit you, but I will be sneaking a look if get a few spare moments!

An eastbound CPKC mixed freight for the Belt passes under the ever-present signal bridge at Tower B12 behind one of the latest brand-new ET44ACs in CPKC paint. If I'm not mistaken, these are the first brand-new engines built for CP since the 9300-series in 2012.

Macro Mondays theme: Liquid

Tried a few different options this week, some which didn't work as I wanted. I still got some really cool shots which I will share at some point. This one is a very different style for me. This paint brush is only 1cm wide.

Really appreciate your comments and favourites as always.

Currently, it's hard to focus on my project but I hate to stop so I am just phoning it in for a bit. Just another quick recycled idea. Thanks for hanging in there with me, real life is taking over my focus and emotions right now. There are big transitions and changes which have left me anxious and drained.

Kahn at Cataract Creek.

His medication seems to have worked but it makes him thirsty!

It's raining at Brighton! Julia was hoping for a little fun in the sun but when she arrived, it started pouring down rain.

This Eastern Bluebird was a portrait of perfection in the early morning sunlight, with not a feather out of place. But just a few hours later, his appearance became disheveled during a drenching afternoon rain. It's a good thing he's wash and wear - he'll be back to his handsome self in no time.

I didn't manage to catch any falling droplets from the icicles in my previous photo (at least not with any degree of sharpness, since I didn't have my faster 50mm lens on), so here is one from last winter. I doubt we are going to have any more snow or ice this season, so there go my chances of trying this again!

... this is a different crop (a square crop that I love these days) and re-edit of a photo I'd posted last year....

Mute swans are pretty uncommon in northern California, but there's a bunch of them on Cameron Lake. Perhaps they're "locally common".

Cameron Park, Ca. March, 2021.

I liked the drips made as I watered my window box tulips yesterday. It seemed as if each one contained its own little garden. The image is flipped vertically.

...and when I was done shooting -there was a lot of splashes too...

One more day to go before I'm disconnected. Yay! Then the side effects kick in. Boo!

You got that special sauce to spur my curiosity
