My first attempt at this type of shot. Not 100% happy with it as the column is ever-so-slightly out of focus :( So I;m gonna have to try it again, which means me taking over the kitchen for another night :D

After Rietveldjes and teunenel I've started dripping as well. This looks like a thick substance, but it is water mixed with a little red acrylic paint.
I am amazed at how dark the water makes the trunk look.
This is for Melissa.... who inspires me to go out photographing in the rain!

I dripped ink to start ... it bled through too many pages and didn't really splatter enough. I switched to acrylic paint and had some fun. I think the paint looks like a crazy colorful crab of some sort. I added the doodles later ~ just because.
I woke yesterday morning with a totally unexpected rapid heart rate and short reoccurrence of AFib (about 4 hours), my first episode since the blanking period after my heart ablation in Dec 2023, some 93.5 weeks AFib free. It was always a possibility this could return.
I was in A&E at Stoke Mandeville hospital for over 6.5 hours, 4 of them on a drip, and will now to be referred back to the cardiologist at Wycombe hospital, what all this means I guess time will time.

After it rained the other day, Carlos spent a lot of time standing here trying to catch water that was dripping from the roof. (Also, we probably need to pressure wash the house in this spot)
Coming soon, this faffy coffee and botanical tea shop awaits final permitting approval before it can welcome customers to its latest location, at the busy intersection of 38th Ave N and 49th Street N, St. Pete. The mural should meanwhile catch folks’ eyes while they wait for the lights to change. Drip already has establishments in Tampa and Clearwater.
Much different than my first attempts last year. After some tinkering with some studio lamp stands, I made a drip stand which is a lot tidier than the old contraption I threw together in the first place. This one offers more accuracy in the drop zone, leaving room to play with a drip controller.
In the mean time, I have to do this manually. These are my first attempts at this with my new setup and seem to be doing better than last time out.

Green diluted ink, dropped into plain cold water in a black tray lined in the bottom with black card.
Taken with a Canon 100mm Macro lens.
Water dripping onto a rock ledge of the pour-off made a pleasing sound. The strings of water droplets are about 18 inches (46 cm) tall.
While there was plenty of beauty at the Chicago Botanical Garden's Orchid exhibit, this bamboo water spout caught my eye. Enjoy!
We got rain today!!!!! It was wonderful!!! It rained hard and for a while!! We could hear all the trees and plants sighing and saying "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"
