I made this dress for the soon-to-arrive baby of a dear friend. I added a sash (made from wide bias tape). I also forgot to overlap the back panels, so I added a placket. The buttons are decorative (one row covers the snap closures).

I cut her hair, added some Bedhead to spike it and her dress is a swatch of fabric wrapped and pinned to her! Instant party dress!
Her jewelry is something I made last year that was sitting on random doll. It's bronze toned metal chain, with varying 3 sized jump rings. The coincidence of having it and matching the dress, randon fabric, was crazy.
Dress pattern from Ottobre 1/08. Modifications:
Added extra length to make it a dress instead of a top
Changed flower embellishment to own design 3D butterfly
Hand sewn using a slightly modified version of Randomfish's A-line dress pattern for my incoming LittleFee. I added just a bit more room in it all around since the pattern was originally intended for knits and I wanted it to seem a little bit oversized anyway.
