29.52: Reflection
…and he sailed through night and day and in and out of weeks and over a year…
-Maurice Sendak
A very recent sunrise of my favourite Mountain Ash looking towards Ben Ledi. The inversion was too high to begin with but then settled and it was beautiful to finally see the mountains.
Going through more archives; Found some set-up files for animated backgrounds I used in my film 'Atlas Dei' Not sure they've been seen alone before, so here they are.

Fanad Head Lighthouse, County Donegal, Ireland
After photographing this amazing much loved lighthouse I decided to travel round the opposite rarely seen side of the cliff that this lighthouse stands on and to my amazement this is what I saw! A true hidden gem of a location for anyone shooting at this site
Please add me as a contact to view a lot more of my newest upcoming work, Thank you!
The original colours were so bold and bright in this image, that I dialed back the vibrancy and saturation to give it a softer look.
Thank you Bert and Cindie for the compliments ;-)
My wife wanted a return trip to Catbells so she could get a photo of the trig point at the top. Alfred Wainwright describes Catbells as "a family fell where grandmothers and infants can climb the heights together" Well - we put the grandmother part to the test and it was hard going up some of the wet, slippery rocks. I had to literally drag Donna up one part near the top. It wasn't made any easier by us going up in the dark with headtorches
Last time we went up we failed to get to the trig point and also missed the actual sunrise as we had stopped in heavy fog thinking we had already reached the summit. So this time we gave ourselves more time and took a steady walk up.
We could tell we had picked the right morning - the valley was shrouded in mist and we broke through that into clear visibility about halfway up the fell. Such amazing views in all directions. We were soon joined at the top by a few younger couples all out to see the sunrise. Donna and I spent an hour taking photos and watching it all unfold before continuing the circular walk back down to the lake and round to the car park. We were out walking for 6 hours and loved every minute of it
Quite often when I'm taking a picture I see another version of the scene in my mind, a dreamscape if you will. It's not always there; but I look for it nonetheless. It's a better story than what I see with my eyes. With this rowboat I am rowing, somewhere suspended between a still sea and sky. Maybe I am rowing between this world and the next. Maybe.

something like eye acrobatics, there are many details, and perhaps a sweet fragrance is in the room.
creative working with colors: As a software I use a RAW editor. At the beginning I mostly play around with the white balance. The disadvantage from WB is it impact globally across all colors. But Lightroom has three other tools (color, Split Toning and Camera Calibration). With which you can very well deal with a specific color. My Favorite is, of course, Capture NX2, here you can place intuitive the effect on the right place, as an automatic mask. Working with colors is a matter of feeling. Therefore, it is also important that the system or the monitor shows true colors.
It's hard to believe these places really do exist. Would you imagine this in Alaska? This is a place that everytime I see it, I stand in awe, as if it's the first time all over again.

Love this headdress by Emo-tions! Collar is by the forge. Ink by little pricks. Nose ring by Zaara. Shoulder pieces and bracers are by aisling. Taken at the beautiful Pandora Box of Dreams SIM.
Was out taking pics and found the water mesmerizing. I love the inter-play of lights, shadows and wave forms. Unphotoshopped of course. I think this type may have some potential with a bit of practice as I also found some that were like dreamscape sunsets.

[So happy to share my newest addition for dreamscapes. This image is being used a cover image for a brand-new magazine called dpi Magazine. Now that they've released it, so can I!
This image was directly inspired by the myriad white statues my mother collected from my childhood on, many of which are now in my home. I wanted to create a real-life version of these statues, so I tortured I mean was super nice to Cassie and painted her completely white from head to toe, including her hair. Then I melted scalding candle wax all over her, after which I sank into mud that was knee high while attempting to take the shot. This was the most aggravating, ridiculous hilarious dreamscapes shoot I've had to date, and now Cassie and I have yet another memory to add to our book of "ridiculous kin-cass-chaos tiemz."]
View from the Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) range in Anhui Province, China.
Looking out from the top of the range shortly after sunrise. This really was the magic hour of the day since it clouded over shortly after this scene was experienced.
