This was taken from the location of the former Iverson Movie Ranch. The big rocks in the foreground are called Garden of the Gods. Somewhere in there is the Lone Ranger Rock that was in its opening song. So many Westerns were filmed here. Bonanza, The Rifleman, Gunsmoke, Death Valley Days...loved them all!

In a 3-hour race to get to the Spiral Jetty before sunset, we were disappointed to observe the sky filling with clouds as we approached. But we couldn’t have asked for better conditions, even though the sun never really peeked out of the clouds. The drama of the brewing storm was breathtaking and created phenomenal conditions for photography. What’s more, the clouds cleared after sunset, exposing the full moon for night photography.

I was walking on the beach one night in Bali here at the Ritz-Carlton. I don't remember ever seeing a church or any kind of religious thing at any hotels before… so this one really stands out because of its architectural impact. I knew there was a storm coming, so I went out here on the beach to watch it for about half an hour, trying my best to capture some lightning, and then I did it! As fast as lightning, they say.
