"Doc" is one of only two flying B-29's. Restored over a 16 year period in the same hangar in Wichita, Kansas where it was originally built by a volunteer group that included many former Boeing employees who worked on her original construction_DSC0169
Taking this image caused much mirth with my fellow 1Z10'ers, there is an image floating about of myself flat out in the spillway below Carr Mill dam which caused some choice comments on our Whatsapp group for the recent trip.

Beijossssssssssssssssssssssss!
One of the 2 last flying B-29's still flying, "Doc" prepares to taxi to the runway prior to take off. An amazing machine that was lovingly restored by a large group of volunteers.
Pilot's callsign is 'Doc' and he's slinging eight Zuni 5' rockets with white phosphorous warheads for marking targets.

Especially in the Northeast of Brazil, the consumption of sugar and its derivatives is immense. It is understood, Brazil has been one of the biggest sugar producers for centuries, since the introduction of sugar cane in the 16th century by Portugal, and at the beginning of everything, the Northeast region was the main sugar producer in Brazil.
In the photo we see "sweets" made from fruits of different origins, cashew, fruit from here, South America, coconut, coming from Southeast Asia, jackfruit, brought from India, and passion fruit, native to tropical regions of America.

aka: Doc Miller Covered bridge
Absolutely one of my favorite covered bridges of the 150+ I've visited.
The Packsaddle Bridge is a historic covered bridge in Fairhope Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1877, and is a 48-foot-long Kingpost truss bridge, with full vertical plank siding and large cut stone abutments. The bridge crosses Brush Creek. It is one of 10 covered bridges in Somerset County. Wikipedia

Absolutely wonderful scenery around here.
Oh man, I'm soooo easily distracted. I planned some Monkey Island builds for the end of the year.... err... I mean, x-mas builds, no, no, actually something for my lug contest. Nope, not that either, an Elton John fig. Yeah that's it. No, the other guy that looks like him actually.

Another personal hightlight. Boeing B-29 Superfortress, Doc, leaving for the short hop up to Appleton so it can carry out some passenger flights.
What was Doc hankering for after his mini-vacation? . . . banana crème pie of course. We found the most delicious homemade type pies in our grocer's freezer, and we add fresh banana's for a real treat.
**(Try Cyrus O'leary's Pies in your grocer's frozen food department, for tender flaky crusts, and perfect homemade like fillings.)
"Vem olhar
Esta noite amanhecer
Iluminar
os nossos passos tão sozinhos
Todos os caminhos
Todos os carinhos
Vem raiando a madrugada
Música no céu "
