The shirt I ordered last summer when CRAFT had a sale was big in all the wrong places. It has since sat in my sewing room for the year and while messing around on other projects I discovered some cute calico fabric that coordinated adorably. Using some fun elastic techniques I made a cute little tanktop that fits PERFECT.

I used cotton scraps, cut into 4" squares (these are sometimes known as "charm squares" and you can buy them ready-cut on ebay, or do it yourself by cutting round a template.

To make five metres of bunting, you'll need about 30 squares.

I forgot to take pictures before this stage, but this is the two fabrics sewn together then turned right-side-out.

Cut the toe off. If you want these to be capri length, cut a little above the toe seam, If you want it longer, cut further down. I'm cutting mine just below the seam.

First time ever my eyelets are strongly secured and pretty even.
