Lovely weather here today. Just a snapshot to memorize how winter takes over this year. -5 deg C at 1:30PM (for personal logbook)
Not for me, for the grill, which has rusted through beyond repair and big holes appeared on the bottom when the charcoal was completely consumed. I was lucky not to burn myself. Another test of Moiser array, this time a double circular one. The effect here is not very clear as I had to turn around the food too.

Every new year we have a race of miniature rocket sleighs powered by 'Noitapilli', or 'Luftheuler'. The sleigh that ends up furthest from the start line is the winner. This sleigh has even wings with a hope it would take off the ground. Well, it didn't, and ended up last.
ASP 400 S is a panchromatic halftone aerial negative film, which I bought not realising it comes unperforated—with no sprocket holes. So the only camera I can shoot it with is a DIY cardboard pinhole camera.

Reversal process based the bleaching and re-lighting and re-development of the negative. Concentrated hydrogen peroxide mixed with citric acid is the bleaching agent, so low toxicity is ensured within careful and reasonable handling of the chemicals. The white parts of the image are made of bleached silver.
Many thanks to Joe van Cleave for making a video about the process and explaining the details of the process.

Taken with "France Hexagone" camera that I made made that very morning, pinhole size unknown, and a sheet of Kodak Portra 160, which barely fits inside.
It was elections day in France, so for the occasion this year I used some boxes of French specialties. This one contained cookies before becoming a camera. Or was it caramels? It was very tasty anyway.

The Olivetti Summa 15 is a mechanical calculator designed in 1949 by Marcello Nizzoli and Natale Cappellaro. I found it in a basement of the University of Genoa. It has been restored (sadly, it's not completely functional) and it is now housed in our department library.

Old Kodak Signet 35 camera modification for slit scan photography (see previous photo). A work in progress.. still needs work. The whole point of the motor was to try to eliminate the banding problem.
the only modification to the camera was a vertical slit placed next to the film plane. the motor winds the film past the slit and records all stationary objects as a blur and everything moving in the opposite direction of the film as it is seen.
I used one roll of film to record cars and this bus as they drove past my house. This image of the bus was the sharpest of the group. It had just stopped at the house next to mine and was in a slow acceleration past me.The other cars passing were moving much faster and most had a slight blur.

I made this camera for the Pinhole Day 2015. It's a free zoom/tilt/shift 8x10 camera for pinhole and lens photography. The name "Meoda" is made with the same materials as the camera: medis, metalas, medžiaga, oda (in Lithuanian, in English it would be "wood, metal, tissue and leather"). The standards are made of the finest European pine from Hornbach hardware store. The bellows - glued artificial leather and tissue. The flexible "ears" that connect the standards are four black flexible microphone stands. They make some 4/5-ths of the weight of the camera, which is good for stability, but their main function (together with bellows) is to provide a complete liberty of placing and directing the pinhole in front of the film. Meoda takes standard Sinar lens boards. I made for it a set of interchangeable magnetic pinholes of various sizes for different bellows extensions. I also use these pinholes in my other, smaller pinhole camera "Arkliukas".
