Infrared pics from the countryside east of Charlottesville, VA. Shot with a full spectrum converted Sony a6000, PC-Nikkor 35mm f2.8 lens adapted to E-mount with a Viltrox EF-M2ii speedbooster + Nikon F to Canon EF adapter, and a 950nm IR filter. The only image where the lens' shift function was utilized was the portrait church image.

Shutter Mechanism:
The feature that I am most proud of is the internal shutter mechanism; this also proved to be the most challenging part of the camera to build. I thought that it would be neat to have a shutter mechanism that was not only triggered by a shutter release cable, but was also located inside the camera itself. To make this possible a number of design challenges had to be overcome such as making the mechanism small, simple, and reliable. Being limited to only two by six centimeters of space to accommodate the shutter, it was necessary to make the components only as large as needed. Reliability was also a major concern because the shutter is on the inside of the camera (behind the pinhole) this would make it difficult to repair in case of a malfunction.

Candy Tin pinhole camera. Circular ring effect achieved by placing the camera on turntable and spinning during exposure. Room was dark and colored lights were hung. Additional exposures captured horizontal motion and rings at different axes.

This is RA4 paper shot in-camera, developed first in Ilford multigrade B&W developer, re-exposed, and then developed in RA4. Another fail unfortunately, I have the colour correction prettymuch down, but they're overexposed. Fundamental problem is that even in good light the exposure times are about 1 to 2 minutes. So it's useless for portrait work. This is Ljiljana doing her best to sit still for an entire minute and a half but I think it's impossible. I think I might just go back to straight RA4 paper negatives and abandon attempts to reversal process them.

Attempting to construct a camera with 2 pinholes and two parallel rolls of 35mm film. The image coverage from each pinhole should overlap onto both pieces of film. Resulting in two images of the same subject (or different subjects if only 1 hole is uncovered at a time) with double exposure. First trial: learned that the pinholes were too far apart. Also one of the rolls disconnected from the spool and did not get exposed. #trialanderror

Loaded with film and ready to go. I have blackened the inside of the pinhole disc with a marker pen to cut down on reflection from the shine on the brass. You can see the end of the screwdriver I have machined so that it fits the film spool winding slot so that it can be used to wind the film through by hand when loading the film. The tweezers are to pull the film when loading.

Shot this little over a year ago, but I find it somewhat still fascinating.. Not the picture perhaps, but the fantastic sharpness in the corners ;)
You should know that it is really hard to do descent exposures with this thing! You only have one aperture-setting and one speed-setting, and the knowledge of the filmspeed of course. And thus many pictures is utterly crap, I think exposurewise that this came out just perfect!
Well yeah, the only thing I miss with this small plasticy thing is bulb... It may be possible to diy it some what.. But I await for the "Konstruktor" instead :-)
