"Darling....when did we get a bird?

Onedays has created a complete suit for you to stalk around like a peacock if you're of a Steampunk persuasion, be that airship captain or overly distracted professor working on your next Aether project and oblivious to things going on around you. The pack includes a colour hud for the pants.

Cabalpier made a rather cheeky birdcage, complete with a note from your darling wife and a very extinct bird. Leave it in your house as a surprise easteregg. Maybe.

She's just what I need

And I know she'll be mine by the end of the night

If I make her as insecure as me"

Thank you all so much for your wonderful words, awards, and the group invites. I truly do appreciate them all!♥

I was walking up the beach to get a better view of roosting waders when two Ringed plovers flew over my head calling and feigning injury. This is a classic sign that you are near their nest or freshly hatched young so I beat a hasty retreat! They call this behavior distraction display. I think present day footballers do a lot of Feigning injury!

I was going to post this private, but thought some of you might be interested in seeing this large. This photo had a lot of distraction in the background. I was able to make the background look farther away by using the selection brush, inverting the selected area and then applying, under filters, guassian blur. (adobe photoshop)

With all the craziness in the world today, I am so grateful for my family, and the little distractions like #MacroMondays to keep me sane.

Must have been significant as he usually only has eyes for me!:)

Finally, the Warblers have come into town. They have been a cheerful distraction for me these days which is why you haven’t seen me on a Flickr much lately. I have a goal with the common warblers we see and I try to photograph them with different backgrounds than I have before. It means I dress with in my camouflage clothes and hide within the trees and bushes to wait for the birds to come closer. Then I take time to consider the background and try to compose as best as I can. Although I have many misses, I get my walking in every day and I get my meditation in watching quietly in the trees. Often there is a babbling brook nearby. A few times I have had wonderful surprise visits from some birds. This little Pine Warbler was enjoying the sun as much as I was last week. Happy Wing Wednesday!

Some friends took me to a local Nature Reserve a few days ago as a distraction from my life. There were beautiful natural plants as well as a garden they had planted on their property. We brought a picnic lunch and sat at one of their many shaded seating areas. In the garden was this painted fern. I have one in my garden as well but somehow never got motivated to take an image. This one waved to me as if it wanted to be noticed. My friends got me thinking about photography again and I am content to see what else I have neglected in my garden. A little distraction goes a long way.

Lights perhaps distract us from the darkness within, and the big brother who's watching.

Indeed the new english layout is rather like an ill twitter by product, so I switched for the good old Português layout, at least for the time being.

Tranquility should be listed in dictionaries as a synonym for 'brook'. Never once have I felt distraught in the presence of a brook, even my life at times insisted on distraction and distress. A brook is nature's whisperer of wisdom—one simply listens. | Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, USA.

This little bird kept tapping on the window during our spring volunteer training meeting. I am not sure what kind it is. Does anyone else have an IDea?
