After a frosty night the Japanese anemones in the garden are not doing so well. But they are still beautiful, I think.

After I posted my lifer Fragile Dapperling mushroom back in July, my good Flickr friend Larry Reis told me that these beauties, that resemble flowers, only last a few hours before they disintegrate, so they are definitely a 'right time, right place' find!
This particular tree, in the process of disintegration, lies at the eastern end of the Kootenai Creek hiking trail, just north of Stevensville, Montana. I have photographed it many times over the years, in many kinds of light, in various compositions. We are practically friends.
On this occasion, I found the old tree with a dangling limb and some bit of gorgeous spot-lighting and paused on my way back to the car to grab a few shots.
Yes, there will be less and less tree to photograph in future visits, that is a certainty. But, as friends, and fellow seniors, it would be rude and inconsiderate not to stop by and pay some degree of tribute to a stoic, long-time survivor, hanging on.
Boba Fett chased Han Solo and the Millennium Falcon incessantly, but with the release of the new UCS Millennium Falcon, his chase is finally over!

The frames stretch, almost disintegrate. I think if I had touched them I would have set off the Sartrean alarm even before the museum's alarm sounded.
“I was there, standing in front of a window whose panes had a definite refraction index. But what feeble barriers! I suppose it is out of laziness that the world is the same day after day. Today it seemed to want to change. Then, anything, anything could happen.”
― Jean-Paul Sartre, NAUSEA
Marty : Ah, Jesus Christ, Doc. Jesus Christ, Doc, you disintegrated Einstein.
Doc : Calm down, Marty, I didn't disintegrate anything. The molecular
structure of Einstein and the car are completely intact.
Marty : Then where the hell are they?
Doc : The appropriate question is, when the hell are they. Einstein
has just become the world's first time traveler. I sent him into the future. One minute into the future to be exact.
Hello folks I'm back today and I'm happy to do another collab with Jacob Customs who is a big fan of Back to the future. We decided to do a series of pic with the Delorean and here we go ! This is the scene where Doc tries his Delorean.

The skeleton of a long-abandoned fishing boat slowly disintegrates on the shingle beach at Dungeness, on the southernmost tip of the Kent coastline. What’s happening now is a slow organic process, of course, as the wooden frame gradually deteriorates, a victim of the unrelenting elements – but at this rate the slow, sad denouement of this melancholic sea vessel is still years away.
Disintegrating shale layers. In the bed of Red Canyon, Grand Canyon. I think this is Hakatai Shale, a formation that is over a billion years old.
Last year I visited Sitakunda, a town situated on an unbroken flat land of alluvial deposits that lies below the level of high tide of Bay of Bengal that is free from tidal effects and flash floods of the area. Due to an embankment it has been developed as a satellite town of Chittagong to reduce the population pressure on. There I went to Chandranath Temple that has a footprint of Lord Buddha. And for your information, among the many temples in Chittagong this is a must visit place. The temple is situated at hilltops and is mostly regarded as the sacred places of visit. Anyway, I met this man there and talked to him. He was the pilgrim who stays there and takes care of the Temple. Alone in his world, he lost his family, all of them. And now he continues to devote his life to his almighty.
Taken at Sitakunda, Chittagong, Bangladesh.

The disintegrating front edge of a shelf cloud pushes ahead of a high energy storm cell. Within a few minutes after this shot was taken our office building was engulfed in high winds and torrential rain with numerous close lightning strikes merely seconds apart. The clouds were flying around in multiple directions as the winds ripped them apart. Some nearby cells dropped golf ball sized hail and knocked down limbs, trees and power lines across the eastern part of the state. Some excellent weather action.

In a not so distant America, the politics will split the country into 3 new countries before the invasion by Mexico, Japan and Canada. Alamo will be retaken by Mexico and Hawaii taken by Japan. Canada will take New York to Maine.

It may be Movie Night, but Stormtrooper Bruce has a feeling that just might not happen this weekend. Seems the new "critters" who arrived at Palpatine's Petting Zoo this week had plans of their own.
Palpatine: I do appreciate you and your friends 'volunteering' to help round up my little buggies. They are very special to me, so please remember - No Disintegrations!
STB: Well, sir, it was hard to say no when you asked if I'd help you with a special project of super secrecy.
Palpatine: Yes, well, we don't want word to get out that the Keeper left the door open and my buggies escaped. The door has been repaired, but we've yet to locate the Keeper.
TK-432: Sir, your buggies, um, they are safe aren't they? I mean, they won't eat us will they?
Palpatine: Of course not! They are being trained as Guard Bugs for some of our more remote outposts. They can withstand the harshest conditions imaginable.
TK-1110: Trained, sir?
Palpatine: Yes, well, they still have to learn friend from foe, don't they? So, if you please, make sure your blasters are set on stun. No disintegrations!
STB: Of course, sir. We'll get them rounded up before they reach the other decks. If you'll just give me the key to their enclosure, I can make sure they're locked in, safe and sound.
Palpatine: Yes, well... as I said before. We've yet to locate the Keeper, so we don't have the key. And the spare is surprisingly, um... missing, too. Vader suspects sabotage, and is reviewing our security cameras as we speak.
STB: No key? So how are we supposed to...
Palpatine: Not to worry, I have our best minds working on new keys this very moment. Once they can determine what material my little buggies can't chew through, their enclosure can be reinforced, and a set of keys will be delivered to you pronto.
STB: So, in the meantime, we're setting our blasters on stun!
