Discussing this Tern with colleagues regarding the species. It isn't feeding as an Arctic Tern feeds by diving. It is feeding by flying low over the water, slightly rising and falling and just dropping it's bill in to pick up it's food resembling Marsh Tern. Open to anyone's suggestions.

Had to return to see this Tern. You have got to see it to appreciate it. Photographs do not do it justice.

Many thanks as always for your comments and faves. Much appreciated

Many thanks to Mike for sharing his lovely Tulip bed:

The work was created in DDG Text 2 Dream using Mike's photo as the source. The prompt is the title of the work. I processed it in Topaz Studio as the Sepia version and then processed it further in PS Beta 2023. This version has a layer of the original output with PS filter "Luminescence" at 58%.

Mike, please choose your favorite, and I will post that one in the challenge. Thank you.

When one discusses railroad tunnels, probably the last state brought up in that discussion would be Ohio. But the southeast portion of the state borders West Virginia - a.k.a "the Mountain State - and some of these mountains spill over the Ohio River into the Buckeye State. There are currently 16 tunnels in Ohio with active rail lines and numerous others that have been daylighted or bypasses all together. And even a few more that are on abandoned lines as well.

And at one time there were five shortline and regional railroads in the Buckeye State that rostered secondhand Tunnel-Motor locomotives. Up till recently the Ohio Central was one of them, and their trains once ran through five tunnels in Ohio. They had a trio of former Southern Pacific SD40T-2s and here one leads a Morgan Run to Mingo Junction Turn east through the Tuscarawas River valley. Unfortunately, the only T-Motors remaining in Ohio are the three now operated by the Wheeling & Lake Erie. Appropriately enough the Wheeling operates through eight tunnels in Ohio.

Thanks for views, faves and comments!

Whenever I point my camera at a cow (or a horse, or bird, or sheep, etc)… the stupid animal usually runs away long before I manage to compose any decent shots!

So when I noticed this herd of cows actually walking towards me while I was walking towards this huge lone tree yesterday afternoon… I knew that I simply couldn’t miss this opportunity to capture my first Bovine Sunset!!

A couple of weeks ago I learned that a hazy sky can really spoil a zoomed-in photograph taken during the day… and yesterday I was reminded again how much that same hazy sky can really enhance the colours of a sunset!

Whooee… I’m really, really loving this Sigma 18-200mm lens!!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

I've been tagged :) This edit failed a little bit... Oh well. PLEASE PARTICIPATE IN GLEE WEEK!

Song for today: Gives you hell, Glee Cast. Watch the real video to understand where this picture came from :)

TEN random facts:

1. For {dramadancer1} ♥: I use Photo Studio 5.5, which came with a Canon scanner. It's essentially Elements.

2. I have the manliest arms on a 17 year old girl you've ever seen. Unless you're a gymnast, too.

3. When I edit my pictures and change color balance, I almost always drive up the yellow balance a lot. I think it looks prettier :)

4. I love mascara. Whenever I use it, I apply a TON.

5. I've never broken a bone, but I have had surgery due to muscle tear.

6. History is my worst subject. I'm not too interested in it and I'm horrible at memorizing. D:

7. I used to text and talk like a maniac, but now I feel like I spend all my time either taking pictures or studying.

8. I'm really good at video games for some reason, but I don't like them (minus Rockband/Band Hero)

9. My mom recently showed me her camera from before - a film camera, obviously - a Pentax K2. I'm really bummed that film isn't sold for it anymore, because otherwise I'd be using it 24/7.

10. I AM SO EXCITED FOR THE LADY GAGA GLEE TONIGHT (:

I got invited to take photos at the movie premiere of Aimuldir – The Soul of a Burkitshi, a heart warming story of a small girl who became an eagle huntress in Mongolia. The short film by director Oliver Klink and producer Jackson Nichols was screened at an art gallery in Palo Alto, California. Returning to the car after the event, Oliver and Jackson discussed the feedback they got on the film.

I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo from a RAW exposure, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

Lindo Céu

Pamela

Composição: Anderson Freire

Ouça!

Preciso enfrentar os dias maus

O relógio não espera

Mãos atadas no pecado faz

Só me fazem voltar atrás

De onde eu vim

Lágrimas não param de cair

De onde eu vim

Dor e solidão não se separam

E pra onde vou

A trindade está a me esperar

Anjos se preparam pra adorar

É no lindo céu que eu vou morar

No lindo céu... Lágrimas terão fim dores não existirão

No lindo céu... Vozes que clamaram aqui em breve só adorarão

Guardarei a minha fé lidarei com os dias maus

Vale a pena se esforçar e alcançar o lindo céu

Vale a pena resistir o mal e alcançar o sobrenatural

Desatar as mãos do que me faz me distanciar do céu...

FOR THOSE INTERESTED I HAVE AN EXHIBITION AT THIS LINK www.flickr.com/groups/inspiringcollection/discuss/7215762...

Every Season Has Its Own Glory (JHWatkins)

Every season has its own glory,

Every purpose has its own time,

Every moment has its own story,

Every story has its own line.

I have walked deep into cities,

Shining brightly never to fail,

Listened to heart cries,

Lost in the morning,

Standing on corners

Stagnant and stale.

Where is the hope

That brought forth the laughter?

Where is the song?

The music unveiled?

Why are the choices so

Wasted and bitter?

Gathered in hatred,

Broken and pale.

I have seen (new) stars on the mountains,

Fed on the movement of heaven and earth-

Free on the framework

Of perfect perspective,

Fueled by the turning of terrible truth.

Come now and sing of mists in the forest,

Sensual sonnets of songs in the dirt-

Come and behold the delicate balance

Of seasons and reasons and rhythms

And birth.

There are the voices lost in confusion,

Crushed in the thriving, deepening swale-

Calloused and cold the circling conveyance,

Crippled emotion commotion prevails.

Beacons in quiet of last true performance,

Heralded nature in singular cause-

Perfect and pure

Though wasted and slandered.

Washed by confession

In smoldering awe.

Severed connections, squandered projections-

Revered reflections of stammering tongues-

Coined by controlling contriving convections,

In different directions now written in stone.

Now is the time to look to the heavens,

Now is the moment to take up the cause,

Now is the voice of blazing amazement,

Borne on the winds of the gathering storm.

Listen to stream, listen to forest,

Listen to flower, and staggering fawn-

Listen to voices rolling like thunder,

Come drink of the waters

And dance with the dawn.

Wrapped in the garments of natural beauty,

Facing the force of the burgeoning call-

Strong in the seasons of life and creation,

Firm on foundations that never will fall.
