This image shows the dusty disc around the young star HD 135344B. It’s a combination of data taken with two different facilities: the Spectro-Polarimetric High-contrast Exoplanet Research (SPHERE) instrument at ESO’s VLT in red, and the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) in orange and blue. The original SPHERE and ALMA images were released in 2016 and 2015 respectively and didn’t show evidence for the presence of a planet in this disc, first revealed in 2025.

Se trata de un disco grabado con temas bailables, gestado por la Gerencia de Relaciones Industriales de la empresa.
Al parecer, nunca revisaron las grabaciones terminadas antes que abandonaran la fábrica, ya que el sonido del canal derecho se corta en varias ocasiones.

The purple one at the bottom with no label is "Picture This" by Mack Dawg Productions - it was originally only on HDDVD, but I downloaded the HDDVD, converted to BD-format, and burnt it to a DVD. The PS3 reads it perfectly. :)

Disc film is a discontinued still-photography film format that was aimed at the consumer market. It was introduced by Kodak in 1982
Sun disc mosaic of 15 captures in h-alpha wavelight. I captured 8 frames at low exposures for disc details, and 7 longer exposures for the prominence ring at 800mm of focal lenght.
I made a different type of post processing keeping it smoother but gaining in gamma with more natural details without the use of wavelet.
It could be used as example of what can be achieved with a solar filter of only 50mm.

Disc rot is not a fungus, but a defect caused by adhesive failure between two layers of plastic in a CD. This disc still reads fine due to the data layer not extending out to the edge, being a 55 minute Redbook audio CD.

Yep, that's a solar powered light on the basket for night disc golf, on this course. Yep. Not on the other two. Uh huh. They have 3 full 18 hole courses here!!! A easy, medium, & hard course. First course I ever paid for, $3, and well worth it. Especially considering Alex paid for it :)
Disco de 78 rpm. 10 pulgadas, prensado por Fonografía Artística (Chile) dentro del catálogo de sellos pirata.
Estos discos llevaban la frase "Electro Special", dando a conocer su mejor calidad en sonido (grabación eléctrica.) Sin embargo, en la etiqueta sólo se imprimía el título de la obra y su ritmo (debido a que eran copias, jamás se supo el nombre de autores, cantantes ni orquestas que grabaron.) Además, algunos tenían la falla de poseer un surco de final (círculo centrado o excéntrico) más pequeño que la etiqueta, por ello, al ser prensados, éstos surcos quedaron parcialmente debajo del papel (los tamaños de etiquetas eran variados y la empresa no se adaptó a todos.)
