Christmas 2010 was a great day to introduce Evo's sister and brother-in-law to disc golf. The weather was beautiful.
Tali by night! Totally unphotoshopped, only downsized from 4k to 2k in photoshop. 2 x SB800 manually triggered, one on the left and the other on the right. 20sec shuttertime is used to capture the discs movement. We ducktaped a led keyring below the disc just to find them in the night time.

Disc film was a format introduced by Kodak, along with the cameras in June 1982 (in the US) and September 1982 (in the UK). [Camera-Wiki]. Cameras went out of production in c.1990, but Kodak made film until 1999. The cartridges were only a few mm thick, and just placed into the back of the camera
This shows the side of the cartridge that shows through the window of the back of the camera- where you can see the film label and the frame counter. The frame counter is just some numbers moulded into the film disc (in this photo, a little misaligned between two numbers); see processed disc. The camera rotates the disc after each exposure to bring the next, tiny, 8×10.5mm frame into position in the shuttered frame on the rear behind the lens.

CERVICAL SPINE ANATOMY INTER-VERTEBRAL DISCS surgery information
Between the vertebrae are jelly-filled cushions, called intervertebral discs.
Looking at the inside of an intervertebral disc, we can see the fibrous outer annulus which has the consistency of a pencil eraser. The annulus provides the strength. The softer water-filled jelly-like nucleus acts as the shock-absorber. surgery information.
The whole disc carries 80% of the load through the neck. When you sit, stand up, bend or twist, large compressive forces are applied to your spine. There are several factors that determine the ability of your intervertebral discs to handle these forces:
your inherited make-up
disc health – worsened by smoking, poor nutrition, sedentary lifestyle, weak muscles, and obesity
ageing
poor posture – while sitting, standing and lifting
heavy loads during home, work or sporting activities. surgery information.
Minor annulus tears can weaken the disc, leading to a herniation of the nucleus.
When the forces applied to your back exceed the strength of your disc, minor injuries to the disc can occur. It is important to note these injuries may or may not hurt at the time.
As the continuous stresses and repeated injuries accumulate, they cause disc dehydration, stiffening and collapse, and increased wear and tear on the spine’s joints and ligaments, and disc tears leading to disc protrusion and compression of adjacent spinal cord or nerve roots.
