Sevgili Dost;
"Tebdil-i mekanda ferahlık vardır" diyenler, aslında "tebdil-i kan"ı mı kasdetmişlerdir?
Sevgili Dost;
Sevgili Dost;
"Garip, Şam'daki Yemendeki garip değil, garip mezardaki ve kefendeki gariptir" demiş Araplar. Ne garip!
"Garibin yüzü soğuk olur " demiş türkler. Ne garip!
Eskimolar güneşin gurbetçi olduğu düşünmüşler. Çinliler küçük beyaz bir taşın bir çuvak pirinç içinde kaybolduğunu... Ne garip!
Sevigli Dost;
Sevgili Dost;
Uçak sürüleri havalanıyor yerden. trenler, sihirbazların ipleri gibi oynuyor. denizi yakıyor ütülerden tekneler. perdeler sarkıyor otobüslerden.
Sevgili Dost;
İnsan tekerleği bulduğu zaman başına neler geleceğini bilseydi, bakmadan arkasına yuvarlardı onu ıssız bir yere. insanın elinden gelseydi, düğümlerdi yolları ıssız bir yerde
Sevgili Dost;
Kalbimi alıp, uzaklara gitmek istiyorum...

Thank you all for visits, favs and comments, it's greatly appreciated!
After a day of horrible weather during my visit to the famous Neuschwanstein Castle, I was trying to drown my disappointment at a local beer garden in the town of Schwangau (at the foot of the castle), Germany when suddenly a double rainbow appeared with such intensity that it put all life in the town to a stop for a short while
This is one of the areas where photographer's catch the "King Tides" as the swells become quite large during the stormy season of the Pacific Northwest. I caught one of those waves that I posted previously. This image certainly was no disappointment either. I could have stayed all day watching the waves crash into the shore and then back again as they returned into the Pacific Ocean.
BENNY: (looking at a box on the table)
What's in that box? (Benny looks over the edge of the box)
Wow....I can't believe it.
I see... a Paterswoldse Meertje, a Monchou and two Fruit Pastries. I'm going to share them:
One for me
That Monchou is for me too
Another one for me
And that last one.....also for me.
Hmmm...not well distributed actually.
My friend Jago can also pick one.
ME:
Benny?
Why did you open the pastry box?
BENNY:
Well...eh...I...I...checked if the pastries were still in the box Mummy.
Is there one for me too?
ME:
How sweet of you and no you won't get a pastry.
Those are for my friends. They are coming to tea this afternoon.
BENNY:
(Says "shit" softly)
Oh .... how nice of them to come by Mummy!
Are they all coming or is one sick?
ME:
They're all coming Benny!
BENNY:
How nice to hear this!
Have you ever felt that you were a disappointment in others eyes, and that this influenced your self esteem and how you looked upon yourself?
For years...
Take yourself back again.
Try to find your true self again.
Give yourself The Gift.
When someone tells you that you are being a disappointment, it's probably their own self they are disappointed in.
Am I a train whisperer or not?
Did I feel disappointed when my train didn't go yesterday? Nope.
I just had to find another way to get back home.
Geez, I love life ♥
After the struggle with all those cars we finally went to Jermie's place.He told me it was his parents house a long time ago and this his former bedroom.It was dirty and the bed wasnt inviting at all.He went a bit upset and we had a huge discussion."Fine!" he said and turned his face to the window still mumbling. I just ignoired his childish behaviours but inside i was angry.

"Angry Chair"
Sitting on an angry chair
Angry walls that steal the air
Stomach hurts and I don't care
What do I see across the way, hey
See myself molded in clay, oh
Stares at me, yeah I'm afraid, hey
Changing the shape of his face, aw yeah
Candles red I have a pair
Shadows dancing everywhere
Burning on the angry chair
Little boy made a mistake, hey
Pink cloud has now turned to gray, oh
All that I want is to play, hey
Get on your knees, time to pray, boy
I don't mind, yeah
I don't mind, I-I-I [2x]
Lost my mind, yeah
But I don't mind, I-I-I
Can't find it anywhere
I don't mind
Corporate prison, we stay, hey
I'm a dull boy, work all day, oh
So I'm strung out anyway, hey
Loneliness is not a phase
Field of pain is where I graze
Serenity is far away
Saw my reflection and cried, hey
So little hope that I died, oh
Feed me your lies, open wide, hey
Weight of my heart, not the size, oh
I don't mind, yeah
I don't mind, I-I-I [2x]
Lost my mind, yeah
But I don't mind, I-I-I
Can't find it anywhere
I don't mind, I-I-I
Pink cloud has now turned to gray
All that I want is to play
Get on your knees time to pray, boy

"Cape Disappointment"
I came across some articles and videos of this lighthouse and some of it's history when picking out places to photograph while in the PNW. This area in January produces some massive waves, called King Waves, that photographers will flock to. One wave will crash against the rocky shore and then flow back into the next wave coming in, which will produce some epic collisions.

The weather was hazy with fog as it was lifting able to visit Waikiki Beach's view of the Cape & lighthouse on the Pacific Ocean. Around the cliff just over the jetty is the mouth of the Columbia River Bar known as the Graveyard of the Pacific. It's the most dangerous bar crossing in the world.
Note: We actually chartered a 40' boat over the bar for a memorial service for my mom ~ a storm kicked in we barely made it! We owe our thanks to a 40 year Captain named Hobo Jack.
Waikiki Beach was named in honor of a Hawaiian sailor's body washed on shore after his ship was wrecked in a failed attempt to cross the Columbia River bar in 1811.
Cape Disappointment is the oldest functioning lighthouse on the West Coast. In 1788, British fur trader John Meares named the area Cape Disappointment after his inability to locate the river’s mouth.
Thank you for your visit have a great day!
No kidding, that's what they named the little inlet on the near side of that bluff at Cape Disappointment. Darling Tonia and I made the LONG drive down to the bottom left of the state and she got to see this lovely. North Head was supposed to open this day, but they are behind and it's behind walls so wait until it opens if you are going to make the trip. I couldn't pass up the b&w on this, it just grabbed me and wouldn't let go, hope you like it too., blow it up and take a look.
The lighthouse was completed in 1856. It is 53 feet tall, 14 feet 4 inches at the base tapering to 10 feet 6 inches at the lantern room. It was electrified in 1931 and automated in 1973. A nearby Coast Guard observation house was built for the Coast Guard to monitor traffic and Columbia River bar conditions. The Lighthouse was last painted in the early 1990's. It has been closed to the public for years.
Another view of the 53 foot tall Cape Disappointment Lighthouse. The cape was named by an early explorer who couldn't determine whether there was an entrance to a river in the area. The river he was looking for is the Columbia River. The Columbia River is 1,243 miles long, travels through seven US states and is 14 miles wide at its mouth. This light house was constructed because of the dozens of ships which sank in the area due to the treacherous conditions. In 1998 a new beacon was installed which can be seen 17 miles out to sea.

A Yellow-crowned Night Heron pauses and looks a little disappointed at this failed search for a crab.
Sometimes things don't work out as planned. We had wanted to visit a well preserved ruin called the Moon House, so named because the phases of the moon are painted on the walls of one of the interior rooms. We were thwarted by icy conditions on the descent into the canyon. The route down goes across an icy snowy area then one has to slide down an icy slope and land on a pile of rocks. We decided that if somehow we made it down the ice to the rock pile, the return back up the icy slope would be beyond my capabilities. Also, there likely would be more icy descents we couldn't see from here. So we traveled along the rim and got an exterior shot. But no shot of the moon phases, sadly. Another time perhaps.
King Tide at Cape Disappointment brought all sorts of beautiful waves crashing down for us avid photographers. Shot this one at 1000th of a second, love how still and crispy everything is at this interval.
The Cape Disappointment Lighthouse can be seen from the Lewis is and Clark Discovery Center. The Lighthouse was opened in 1856 and automated in 1973. While traditional lightkeepers were no longer needed, a structure for the Coast Guard to monitor the Columbia River Bar area was added.
One of my biggest disappointments from my November 2019 trip to South Texas was missing this species. That was my first trip there that I missed this beauty. The primary cause was drought conditions and poor timing on my part. I know that global warming is an emotional debate. I'm not qualified to say if it real or not. What I do know is that the weather in South Texas has changed since I started going there in 2011. During the past 3 years the weather has been colder more often to include overnight freezes down there. That just didn't happen the first 6 years I visited. Anyway, this is an oldie but goodie. He made a lunge, came up empty, and gave a raspy grunt: "raaah".
I watched this Reddish Egret for quite a while as it raced around the pond/lake at Merritt Island NWR, Florida.

Cape Disappointment marks the north side of the mouth of the Columbia River in Washington State, USA. The name derives from English explorer John Meares, who was looking for the river in 1788, found it, but couldn’t navigate past the sandbar and raging currents and had to sail on.
I made this a more painterly rendering using a creative app.
