(...).....Gail and I stood at the dock until after sunset, sitting on a bench just in front of the boat, staring for hours, like two children who had received a much desired gift, but you would never have dreamed of having.
We were a bit 'scared and not quite sure what we had decided to do. But imagine that it was normal to feel some dismay when it faces a radical transformation of its existence, when you are leaving what Gail and I called 'protected area', that area circumscribed in their own personal universe in which reigns routine and you feel safe because everything is familiar and predictable. When you are about to crossing the borders to venture into the unknown, it's as though it were missing the ground under their feet.....(....)

Same direction bt Hoobastank, is just a reference to the fact I always walk this beach in the same direction. There's always different options though depending on the state of the tide, and on this evening, there wasn't a breath of wind, so the rock pools were like mirrors.

Here is another image from my last shoot but facing the other direction. While my model was in the car warming up I motioned to her to bring out gloves for me. I had her throw them to me cause I was down on some rocks in shooting position. Very bad idea to throw lightweight things in the wind on the edge of a hill. Luckily I was able to retrieve the gloves with only a short scramble down the hill. We only shot for maybe 5 mins before my model squealed I can't take it anymore and ran to her coat. I can't express how grateful I am that she stuck with me to at least get a couple shots.

Enter any size garden and I’m sure if you look in “Any Direction” you’ll be amongst beautiful colors and contrasts. I will spend plenty of time in the coming weeks in my gardens weeding and trimming. 🇫🇷 Les premières mentions de cette église datent de 1263. Dédiée à saint Oswald, dont le martyre est raconté sur le tympan du portail sud, elle fut agrandie par les princes du Tyrol au 15e s. À l'intérieur, les voûtes en réseau, caractéristiques du style gothique tardif, montrent des nervures à ornements saillants (becs et crosses). Dans le chœur, les peintures murales du 15e s. déroulent la légende de saint Oswald et de Marie-Madeleine et un tableau (vers 1500), représente le miracle de l'hostie.
🇬🇧 The first mention of this church dates back to 1263. Dedicated to Saint Oswald, whose martyrdom is recounted on the tympanum of the south portal, it was enlarged by the princes of Tyrol in the 15th century. Inside, the network vaults, characteristic of the late Gothic style, feature ribs with protruding ornamentation (beaks and crosses). In the choir, 15th-century wall paintings depict the legend of Saint Oswald and Mary Magdalene, and a painting (circa 1500) depicts the miracle of the host.
🇩🇪 Die erste Erwähnung dieser Kirche stammt aus dem Jahr 1263. Sie ist dem heiligen Oswald gewidmet, dessen Martyrium auf dem Tympanon des Südportals erzählt wird, und wurde im 15. Jh. von den Tiroler Fürsten erweitert. Im Inneren befinden sich die für die Spätgotik charakteristischen Netzgewölbe mit Rippen mit vorspringenden Ornamenten (Schnäbel und Kreuze). Im Chorraum entfalten Wandmalereien aus dem 15. Jh. die Legende von Oswald und Maria Magdalena und ein Gemälde (um 1500) stellt das Hostienwunder dar.

This was rather funny to watch, I spotted the Beaver swimming in the general direction of the Goose. The Beaver kept swimming forward, I thought hmmm.... it looks like its heading directly toward the Goose. At that point the Goose had my same thought, like he couldn't believe the nerve of this large rodent. At the very last second the Beaver must have snapped out of his swimming trance only focused on getting his next alder twig to munch on, dived down and startled the Goose as he swam under it! lol!!
Another rendition of the South Shore's AF6, this time facing the opposite direction. These guys have spent the better part of an hour at Alliance Steel across Route 12, and have dug two covered coil cars out of the industry to place two more. Before continuing on to other tasks, they would trundle all the way to the far east end of the City Track to place the two in a very small siding known as the Goff Pocket Track, or at least it was in the J days. Super hazy spring evening, one of those times you just take a rare full and pure breath and realize that all is right in the world, at least in that moment.
