Morreu ontem um dos maiores vocalistas de Heavy Metal do mundo: Ronnie James Dio. Dio lutava contra um câncer no estômago. Ele começou com a banda Rinbow na década de 70 e substituiu Ozzy no Black Sabbath. Além da carreisa solo, atualmente era vocalista da banda Heaven and Hell, com os ex-integrantes do Black Sabbath. Não tenho palavras para descrever o quanto estou triste. O câncer é devastador. Minha prima, mãe de quatro filhas, descobriu recentemente que o câncer em seu útero se espalhou pela corrente sanguínea até chegar a seus pulmões. Ela fará quimioterapia, mas sabemos que uma vez que chega nos pulmões, não há mais o que se fazer. Além de suas quatro filhas, minha tia, está acamada com Alzheimer: não fala, não anda. Pelo menos ela não se lembrará que sua filha sofreu tanto.
Para encerrar, a música que mais gosto do Dio: heaven and Hell. Não postarei mais nada por hoje.

Record Store Day release. Limited edition of 2,500. Dio was in-store signing, and there were only about 40-50 people there to have their copies signed. It was a pretty low key event, and I was glad to get to spend a few minutes with the guys talking about music. Looking forward to some Dio Disciples music.
