Piano is now on "casters" (i.e. tiny jewellery box cabinet knobs). I am pretty happy with this little detail!
Also, after MANY failed attempts, I finally got the TV to have a working light inside! It involved taking apart a puck light, and drilling a hole in the back for the cord. I still need to cover the rest of the hole (and seal the inside) with black electrical tape, so it stops shining out of the cracks where the plastic pieces fit together. But omg you guys, this has been a struggle FOREVER. Alas, it's also REALLY difficult to photograph. But hopefully you get the idea!
Speaking of lighting, I also FINALLY found the fourth IKEA dioder light strip, which is now set up over the piano. I want to get another set at some point, but for now, I'm pretty happy!

The Statue of the Nile God (Statua del dio Nilo) is an Ancient Roman, likely Hellenistic, marble statue dating from the 2nd to 3rd century A.C.
Nile God
It is located at Piazzetta Nilo, at the start of via Nilo, in the quarter of the same name, and it is this statue that gives all their name. The church of Santa Maria Assunta dei Pignatelli faces the statue, and the Palazzo Panormita is on the north flank. Two blocks mainly east, along Via Benedetto Croce (part of the Decumano Inferiore commonly called Via Spaccanapoli) rises the church of San Domenico.

I knew it would not take Austin long after PA posted the Sea Stallion pic. He took a CH53 he got online, a small baseplate we had made for another project, and a PA Humvee to create this small dio.

Detalle del muro del último patio ceremonial en la Huaca de Cao Viejo del complejo arqueológico el Brujo, Distrito de Magdalena de Cao, Provincia de Ascope, Departamento La Libertad, Perú.
La huaca data del año 200 DC. Debió ser un centro administrativo y ceremonial moche que controlaba el valle de Chicama. Fue abandonada hacia el año 650, poco antes de un fuerte fenómeno del Niño. Las lluvias torrenciales acabaron por devastar el monumento. Posteriormente, fue utilizada por la cultura lambayeque (siglo VIII al XIV) como cementerio.
Las paredes de la huaca están decoradas con relieves policromados que representan sacrificios humanos, guerreros o motivos fantásticos entre otros. Este mura representa al dios moche Ai apaec.

I got up early to hike to the top of this ridge. I was running late to be a the "top" and the landscape was lighting up. Just at that moment, I noticed a small path that led off the trail to this great viewpoint. Nice to be above the clouds.

El Paraná volvió a quedar por debajo del cero en el hidrómetro del puerto de Rosario
El río Paraná volvió a ubicarse por valores menores a cero, a la altura de Rosario, en el marco de la prolongada bajante que sólo se asemeja a las registradas en la década del 40. Este lunes al mediodía, la altura del río marrón midió quince centímetros por debajo de la escala que se utiliza para medir la profundidad del agua en la costa del puerto local. Estas nuevas mediciones suman un alerta sobre la bajante que exhibe el Paraná desde el invierno del 2020, con sus consecuencias para la navegación y las operaciones de puerto, la provisión de agua potable a las ciudades y las actividades económicas vinculadas a la explotación de la cuenca. De acuerdo a los registros realizados por la Prefectura Naval Argentina, este lunes al mediodía, el río descendió a -0,15 metros en el puerto de Rosario. La última medición, de este mismo lunes por la madrugada, había sido de un milímetro por encima del cero. El domingo, el Paraná medía 16 centímetros en la terminal rosarina. Las cifras ponen al río muy por debajo de las mediciones normales para esta época del año. De acuerdo a los registros del Instituto Nacional del Agua, desde 1996 la altura media del Paraná se mantiene en 3,14 metros; mientras que el límite de aguas bajas es de 2,40. Entre julio y septiembre, los peores meses de la actual bajante, el Paraná quedó varias veces en niveles negativos de la escala del hidrómetro del puerto de Rosario. La última de esas mediciones extremas se dio durante el primer día del mes de septiembre cuando el río acusó 29 centímetros por debajo del cero.

Dopo aver accettato l’opera della fine dei tempi di Dio Onnipotente, grazie alla lettura delle parole di Dio e all’ascolto dei sermoni, giunsi a comprendere l’importanza del cercare di essere una persona onesta nella propria fede, e che solo diventando una persona di tal fatta era possibile guadagnare la salvezza di Dio. Iniziai, pertanto, a praticare l’onestà nella vita reale. Dopo un po’, scoprii che ero riuscita almeno in parte a entrare in questa disposizione d’animo. Per esempio: mentre pregavo o parlavo con qualcuno, ero capace di dire la verità e le parole mi sgorgavano dal cuore; potevo anche compiere il mio dovere con serietà e, quando rivelavo la corruzione, riuscivo ad aprirmi con altre persone. Per questo motivo, pensavo che essere una persona onesta fosse una cosa abbastanza facile da praticare e per niente ardua come le parole di Dio tendevano a dimostrare: “Molti preferirebbero essere condannati all’inferno piuttosto che parlare e agire onestamente” (“Tre ammonimenti” in La Parola appare nella carne). Solo in un secondo momento riuscii a comprendere attraverso diverse esperienze che non era davvero facile per noi, esseri umani corrotti, essere persone oneste. Le parole di Dio erano assolutamente vere e per nulla esagerate.

I finally completed the desert dio I started planning last year, and I'm very happy with the results. The colors I picked were sitting around for months, but the whole piece with the cave mouth was something I only thought of a few days ago. I had an odd piece of styrofoam and decided I could paint it up like a cavern entrance.
For my first picture with it, the natural choice was the VAMP mk 2 and some of our oldest friends, Clutch, Grunt, and Dusty.

While trailblazing atop Green Mountain earlier this year in Spring, the setting was perfect in capturing the Cambron Covered Bridge from afar while the water was still. Although the sun was higher than I preferred, it lit the clouds and sky above to a perfect tone.
