Another 50 year-old shot from my 1975 PCT hike. Diamond Peak, as viewed from Diamond View Lake, along the Pacific Crest Trail. I have no idea as to why I shot this with a tree right in the middle of the frame. I guess I really had no idea what I was doing way back then. Scan of a Kodachrome 25 slide.

Al sur del Islandia se encuentra esta maravillosa playa de arena volcánica negra y trozos gigantes de hielo que parecen diamantes enormes .
Donde los icebergs de la laguna desembocan en la costa y crean el entorno mágico.
Los trozos de hielo se desasen en el mar haciendo un entorno increíble para la fotografia de paisajes por las mañanas en el sol los ilumina dándoles un color azul espectacular..
My first visit to Iceland I had heard of this magical beach in which glacial ice was washed out to sea only to be brought back to shore with the tide. The combination of crystal clear and sometimes deep blues in the ice on the Jet black volcanic sand beach is something I will never forget.

Diamond Beach is a beautiful spot just minutes away from the Ice Lagoon in Jökulsárlón. There was a lot of jostling for us as every photographer and their tripod had rocked up to capture the sunrise, some were a little more considerate than others!

A dreamlike scene on Diamond Beach in Iceland. Here, sparkling icebergs gently float on the black sands, creating a spectacular display of glistening gemstones. These ice fragments come from the nearby Breiðamerkurjökull glacier, resembling scattered diamonds along the shore. The northern sunlight paints magical hues on the water and ice, creating a surreal and enchanting atmosphere. Ya de vuelta en casa después de una intensa semana en Islandia. El clima nos ha respetado bastante pese a vivir prácticamente un huracán a lo largo de uno de los días, que nos dejó metidos en casa esperando el cese de su furia. Hemos visto y fotografiado la transición del otoño al invierno a través de sus colores, texturas y reflejos de un paisaje bañado de una luz maravillosa. Además, ha sido un placer el poder conocer a gente extraordinaria a lo largo de todos estos días en la isla. Os dejo con un suave y bonito amanecer sobre la preciosa playa de Jökulsárlón, también conocida como la "Diamond Beach", en donde a través de un baile incesante entre al agua y nuestras botas intentamos acercarnos y fotografiar a estos pequeños restos hielo provenientes del glaciar Vatnajökull.

Back home after a long week in Iceland. This was an special and soft sunrise over the Diamond Beach. The picture was taken using the Kase Filters Wolverine GND8 (0,9). Hope you like it.
