The Devourer was first spotted in the outer borders of M.A.N.T.I.S. territories, near planet Guinevere, sector A06. Not much is know about this vessel, but it seems to be some sort of symbiotic relation between the ship itself and a sort of tentacular creature. It attach to ships' hulls with the tentacles and fire energy weapons that cut deep inside its victims, through armourings and shields, vaporizing anything in its path. The creature then sucks and nourishes from the hot gaseous matter.
My entry for week 9 of Andromeda's Gates on Eurobricks.
a sparrow hawk shot from both of us today , we are sat at home waiting for a new car to be delivered when I spotted a sparrowhawk in the from garden devouring a still living starling so we both grabbed our cameras and took a few shots though the double glazed window
Model: Maria Raquel Zago
Monica Negreiros Fall Collection 2011
~~~~~~
Do you remember when last year I mentioned that I was a judge on a Beauty Contest? Well, Maria Raquel was the winner and then later on she won the Nationals on that beauty contest. Then we met again for this photoshoot.
You need to understand.
She mostly exists out
Out of Time
Out of mind
Out of her mind.
But sometimes God exists
in time
a devouring beast
consuming everything
and concealing all
her helpful signs.
It's not about your sins.
She's merely insatiable.
I'm saying this
was revealed to me.
By her.
So, it must be so!
It looks like a white in color yet dreadful in sight monster !!! A shapeless ghost that devours everything in its pass, even entire villages !!!!
One of the things that I particularly enjoy with photoshooting, is that you can take down and in a way "immortalize" fabulous facts or scenes that otherwise would have practically and unfortunately gone unseen and forgotten ... Thank God this one didn't !!!
The vegetation seems to be creeping in on this house. Also taken in New Hampshire, along the same road as the Little Red House.
This mischievous little squirrel is adorably entertaining. I let him think he is getting away with pillaging the birds food. In fact I have one feeder I allow him to access and of course he can access the stump where I place treats as well. Yesterday during my grocery trip, I bought him and his little friends some raw peanuts to place at the base of the main feeder. It did not take long for this little guy to discover and devour the handful I placed. Little rascal didn't bother to leave any for his friends. Then it was off to the stump for a few dried meal worms. This particular little guy seems to prefer meal worms over seeds.
"Don't speak, no, don't try
It's been a secret for the longest time
Don't run (oh), no, don't hide
Been running from it for the longest time
So many mornings I woke up confused
In my dreams, I do anything I want to you
My emotions are naked, they're taking me out of my mind
Right now I'm shameless
Screamin' my lungs out for ya
Not afraid to face it
I need you more than I want to
Need you more than I want to
Show me you're shameless
Write it on my neck, why don't ya?
And I won't erase it
I need you more than I want to
Need you more than I want to" -Camila Cabello
Been in a doll coma most of the summer, so I forced myself to go out and take some photos before it's all over. I still have more sets planned but I don't know if I'll get to them in time.
It will devour all who are unworthy of its presence.
Updated that little guy. Extremely stronger inner frame. Alignmentof the front dish corrected. Made him a nice beak. And managed to stuff him with lights :)
Before destroying the Devourer, I thought I'd take pictures of the updated model and also finish the LDD file to share it!
So it's now available on my website!
The golden-ringed dragonfly (Cordulegaster boltonii) is one of the largest insects in Sweden. I spotted this particular specimen together with my son on a trip to the Mjällådalen nature reserve near Härnösand, Sweden, and luckily for us it had caught a bumblebee and landed pretty much right in front of us on a leaf to eat it.
I initially took some gradually closer photos of it using the Canon 100 mm L IS Macro lens (like here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/53923749905/) and to my surprise, it didn't fly away and just continued devouring the poor bumblebee (so much was already devoured that I am unable to tell the exact species).
When I considered myself "done" and having gotten the photos I wanted, Daniel however convinced me to switch to the Canon MP-E65mm lens and try for some real closeups. Since it would require me to be minimum 10.1 cm / 4" away from the dragon, I initially refused as I considered it impossible, but Daniel insisted and it turned out he was correct - it kept eating and I got some real closeups like this one at 2:1 magnification. It is also a two-exposure focus stack to bring ore of it into focus.
This species is the only one in Sweden belonging to the family Cordulegastridae and has a bit of a different face compared to the other species. Also, while the adult only flies for one summer, it has already spent four or five years as a larvae in the water before emerging.
A chance day to work with a wonderful person to produce some nice dystopian shots. Thank you to Devour and the location Home of Paine!
...because this is the only shot of my beautiful Banja Luka tulips your going to see this year!
I planted these in what I THOUGHT was the only spot in my yard where the deer didn't have the "you knows" to venture.
I've enjoyed their springtime show for about 10 years now, and am always thrilled that at least I had this one spot to enjoy this beauty.
NOT ANYMORE!
They were starting to open up on Easter Sunday and I was going to take some pictures, but thought, "Nah....I'll wait until tomorrow, and then all the flowers will have opened."
Next morning I looked out the window and there were like THREE blooms left!
I went out and took a few shots of one of the survivors.
This morning the last 3 were gone too.........AND all the lilies that were coming up in the same "safe" area are nipped off....the next thing they'll devour will be my hosta.
DISAPPOINTED!!!!
(oh....if you want to know how they were SUPPOSED to look, a picture of last years display is in comments)
"I want more than that," she hissed flicking her tongue against her fangs.
"I don't want your just your body. I want you to sacrifice your soul."
I recently (months ago) picked up some more bootleg figs and was surprised to find that this Galactus knock-off wasn’t completely terrible, so naturally I had to make some posts with him and the rest of the gang! ;)
I've dispatched my parent, and consumed those born of my own seed.
Let the Golden Age begin: now I shall reign for eternity.
Built for the first round of Bio-Cup 2019.
My theme for this round is Saturn. The Roman god of the same name is an equivalent of a Greek chtonic deity Kronos (or Cronus) - the tyrannical leader of Titan race, god of time and harvest.
I attempted to build a rather dark interpretation of this character while retaining his classical attributes: scythe, sickle and hourglass.
It is not light that we need but fire; it is not the gentle shower, but thunder; we need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake. (F. Douglass)
while the spider was devouring the poor insect, the garden, after days of very bad weather, was going back to its rituals of life and death , impollination and food for the insects
