Deva's name is pronounced Der-vah, though I suspect most people who don't know this wouldn't pronounce it as such.

Deva castle in Transylvania, Romania - it is now being rebuilt using pretty much the same techniques as originally (we felt sorry for the builders working in the hot sun). The castle has been in ruins ever since it blew up in 1849.

The new wihan (พระวิหาร), or shrine hall, at Wat Ratchathammaram (วัดราชธรรมาราม) in Maret on the southeast side of Koh Samui is being built very slowly. On panels inside, Devas - benevolent supernatural beings - dance and say prayers.
