… one month yes, and one no, my Provincial Health Authority of Messina sends me on a three-day mission (from Taormina) to the Civil Hospital of Lipari, located in via Sant'Anna…In my spare time, free from work commitments, I dedicate myself to my photographic passion; the photographs that I present here were all taken in the months of this year 2023; I made various photos according to the dictates of street photography (or street photography), I made some portraits, having always met people in the hand, very willing to let themselves be photographed (perhaps it will be ... that the people of the island are open-minded, eager and used to to communicate with strangers..?!), some portraits were made of people intent on their work; all the photos were taken in the city of Lipari, except for two taken in the port of Milazzo, the departure and arrival point of the hydrofoils (but there is also the ship) for the Aeolian Islands. I met (and photographed) the sweet lady, very good and appreciated American artist, Mrs Janette Little (photographed together with her affable and very nice husband, of Aeolian origins); of the talented artist mrs Janette in addition to her portrait I propose two of her works, I had noticed them some time ago, I had wanted to bring some photos of these works with me, now I propose them in black and white because this is a monochrome series, I note however that the originals are in color, for those wishing to see his works, I add the link to his web site below.

Travel Destination :: Bhutan
When I look back at my time in Bhutan, I can visualise the vibrant colours - bright reds, oranges, yellows, blues, and greens. These are succinctly evident in the prayer wheels, prayer flags, architecture, and national dress dotted throughout the country. Bhutan is the only truly Buddhist country in existence in today's world, and the symbols are incorporated genuinely into daily life.
The symbols of Buddhism are not on display for delighted tourists, but instead part of the practice of the daily Bhutanese life. To spin the plethora of prayer wheels is to wish, hope, or pray for good/better health, and that which is most important. A prayer wheel is a spiritual tool for widely distributing loving, compassionate and kind blessings with your positive wishes for yourself, all those you care for, as well as all beings. Just as the wind activates prayer flags with similar blessings and wishes, prayer wheels are activated by turning them clockwise, mostly with one’s own hand. The Lakhor prayer wheels are usually placed completely surrounding a building, such as a temple or a monastery. Sometimes there are up to 108 of these prayer wheels, an auspicious number. One will walk around, circumambulate, clockwise the entire building, turning each prayer wheel…one at a time… every single one of them…to release as many blessings and wishes as possible. Thus, walking clockwise around the building, while turning the prayer wheels clockwise.

A last minute decision to try for this resulted in a bit of a rushed shot - only arriving with seconds to spare before the loco appeared.
Having just passed a couple of NR track workers DBS Class 66, 66221 makes steady progress towards her destination with 6M81 loaded steel from Margam to Round Oak. The train is about to pass underneath Pensnett Road, about halfway between the former Brierley Hill and Round Oak Stations.
After a short hiatus, I was able to head out and shoot with Ed over the weekend. This time, my wife and daughter joined us. It was quite refreshing to be out shooting again.
Follow me and let's go!
To the place where we belong
And leave our troubles at home
Come with me, we can go
To a paradise of love and joy
A destination unknown!

The lead mines chimney at Ballycorus is the last remaining remnant of the lead mine opened in 1807 near Kilternan, Co. Dublin. Open cast mining for lead began around 1807 and then underground mining started in 1826. This continued until 1863. The chimney from the smelting works remains. This is a popular walking destination for the people of Dublin, and also ends my walk!

Destination Danforth murals reflect themes of gratitude, resilience, hope and fight against racism by Ali Raza, Local Journalism Initiative ReporterBeach Metro News, Thu., Oct. 15, 2020:
Residents will see themselves and their communities in a series of murals painted across Danforth Avenue as part of the Destination Danforth pilot project.
The pilot brought a fast-tracked installation of cycling infrastructure on Danforth Avenue between Broadview Avenue and Dawes Road. In addition to patio extensions and pickup lanes, the pilot also included creative elements such as curb extensions, painted signal boxes, and five signature murals.
The artistic side of the pilot was led by a collaborative effort between the city’s StreetART Toronto and East End Arts.
In cooperation with local BIAs Broadview Danforth BIA, GreekTown on the Danforth, and Danforth Mosaic BIA, East End Arts recruited artists to paint the murals across the Danforth.
The art depicts two themes: gratitude, resilience, and hope, and #EastEnd Love, which is the group’s current project promoting inclusion, diversity, and fighting against racism.
The murals were painted in September and October, with three now complete. The remaining murals will be completed in November, and next spring.
The mural sites and the artists involved are as follows, with Instragram handles for artists included:
270 Danforth Ave. in the Broadview-Danforth BIA, a mural by Monica Wickeler (@monicaonthemoon) 628 Danforth Ave. in the GreekTown on the Danforth BIA, a mural by Poser (@poserabm) 975 Danforth Ave. at the 7-Eleven building, a mural by Elicser Elliot (@elicserelliot) in collaboration with four artists.
The upcoming sites include a mural painted by Kizmet (@kizmet32) and an art installation by Lara Lucretia, Caitlin Taguibao, and Xuan-Yen Cao, both in the Danforth Mosaic BIA zone, east of Coxwell Avenue.

Villa Cerami was the residence of the family Rosso of Cerami. Built a few years after the earthquake that hit the city in 1693, the villa was bought by Domenico Rosso, Prince of Cerami III, in the first half of the eighteenth century.
During their residency, family Cerami embellished the villa with Baroque decorations and precious furniture. In 1881 the villa also had special guests, King Umberto and Queen Margherita, in honor of whom was held an elegant dinner with dancing.
With the partial destination of the residence to a branch of Istituto Magistrale “G. Turrisi Colonna “, and, then, with the loss of some artwork, the twentieth century was a period of decline for Villa Cerami. But thanks to its acquisition in 1957 by the University of Catania, the villa returned to its former glory.
