HMS Defender is a ship of the Type 45 class of air-defence destroyers built for the Royal Navy.
Viceroy butterfly prepared to do battle with invaders of its territory. Unfortunately, since the time of this photo, the owner of its meadow decided to mow. Now, with nothing to defend, this showy critter has moved along.

A variation of a build for Bright Bricks which was presented to a Land Rover dealer to mark the last year of Defender production. Working steering, pendular front / live axle rear suspension, engine, linear transmission.
This is the 2015 model 110 Station Wagon.

It's only five studs wide (excluding the mudguards and mirrors) and, due to the yellow stripe, I couldn't do anything clever to reduce the width of the sides, but there is enough room in the cab for the driver.

The Defender is a one-man heavy star fighter with quad engines as well four pylon mounted dual heavy laser cannons.
However, I think this one is special.
The Land Rover G4 Challenge is a global adventure competition, and as the successor to the Camel Trophy it has off-road driving at its core. As of the cancelled 2008/2009 event, the G4 Challenge was to be run in support of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
