Land Rover introduced the new geberation of the Defender in 2019. Quite a thing to make a succesor to a car that was built for almost 60 years. The new one is much more a luxury SUV than a retro version of the old Defender. This is the short wheelbase version.

Land Rover Owner International Show 2023 at Belvoir Castle, near Grantham, Leicestershire, United Kingdom. Saturday 9th September 2023.
About the photograph.
This is a heavily customised Land Rover Defender modified for extreme off-roading. I have no idea what kind of engine it got, and I don’t have much information about it, as I didn’t get a programme for this event.
Here in the photo, it is seen showing off its off-roading abilities over some kind of a mock up rough terrain, during a live display show in the arena.
About the day.
In the early morning, I woke up, got ready, and took a three hours drive to Belvoir Castle, but that morning was already very warm, with a cloudless sky and the sun beating down on the land.
By the time I got there, I was already feeling very hot. I worn light coloured t-shirt, lightweight trousers, and a lot of sun cream, plus plenty of water.
Sadly, after about a couple of hours, I became a bit overheated in the burning sky, there weren’t much shades around, and it was kind of a heatwave of some sort.
So I had to give up, and return home to avoid getting a heat stroke, I only took like about 400 shots, and that was all I could manage.
When I got home, I had to have a cool down and a rest, and thankfully managed to stay well.
Land Rover Owner International Show.
Land Rover Owner, often abbreviated as LRO, is a British monthly magazine for Land Rover enthusiasts, published by a company based in Peterborough. The full title is often Land Rover Owner International.
It first started in July 1987 by a group of East Anglian businessmen, and was a mainly black and white 40 pages magazine. By the mid-1990s, it was bought by a publishing group, and became one of the popular Land Rover magazines.
The Land Rover Owner International Show is a yearly event ran by the magazine, and usually during the weekend in September. It features many various Land Rover vehicles on display, and includes an action arena for Land Rover drivers to display their driving skills.

There's still some time to enter if you want to make your own group of Defenders figs! I mainly based these on the classic group, with a Panda-Verse spin (because some of the original designs are really hard to get right :P) Clea and Valkyrie are probably my favourite out of this bunch.

The Sigfig Swordsman gets the sword in time to defend himself. Although he has never held, let alone, fought with a sword before, it's like he instinctively knows how to wield it as he shows impressive sword skills... He will certainly need these skills to defeat these reanimated creatures who are clearly out to destroy him... but why?

No-one dies today. The battle is won. The creature is subdued.
A frightened and lonely troll, it was just defending it's territory. For once, it all ends well and our companions extend a hand of friendship.
Could not resist a mono version. In spite of the lovely colours of the oxides in the rocks, I still think I prefer mono.
Defending his family.
Male red-winged blackbirds are amazingly aggressive to birds, people or anything else that they believe threatens their nest. This one was exhibiting their standard behavior flying around making a lot of noise and periodically dive bombing annoying photographers. They have never actually hit me but they have come very close.
Even though they are flying around slowly I have found that they are very difficult to photograph in flight and taken hundreds of discards to get a few keepers.
I have included photographs of a very agitated female RWBB and a male posing for me in good light

I want one.
Or, perhaps rather then more modern "copy", the Grenadier:
The Ineos Grenadier is an off-road utility vehicle designed and produced by Ineos Automotive Ltd. It went into production in October 2022.
The Grenadier was designed to be a modern replacement of the original Land Rover Defender, with boxy bodywork, a steel ladder chassis, beam axles with long-travel progressive-rate coil spring suspension (front and rear), and powered by BMW six-cylinder internal combustion engines.
At up to two feet in length these lizards found on Gran Canaria don’t have the most imaginative name. They are quite a good deal larger than typical European lizards. As such they are called Gran Canaria Giant Lizards. Photo taken at Maspalomas at the southernmost point of Gran Canaria.
Production of the iconic Land Rover Defender is to end today following 68 years as a workhorse for the Army, farmers and fans alike - including the Queen and Wirral Coastguards.
Cannot wait for Iron Fist to come out on Friday so I decided to try to make an Iron Fist and show off my other Defenders, I'll probably come back to it after I see the suit design in the show.
Now that I have the digital model, I can play with alternate colorschemes.
This one is inspired by an original artwork for the game, and I've wanted to try it for a long time...
Maybe I'll consider doing it one day
Almost a month since the last update...
The big conical area was so hard to build, and I'm not entirely convinced by what I built... If you have some ideas on how to do it, don't hesitate to tell me!
I had to rebuild the inner frame, and it now has its full length. The two spots for the connection to the stand are now useable, but the half-ship is starting to get so heavy and unbalanced (of course).
Action mock-up!
The murdercubes are such great little cubes of vicious attitude. Even when they go down in flames.

Dead calm and pretty silent.
Worth defending for generations to come.
If I were a defense lawyer you must tell me the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth if you want me to get you off. xxx.
I loved the cartoon Defenders of the Earth as a kid, and recorded several episodes when they were originally on TV. Years later I picked up the series on DVD, along with the great 1930s serials like Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe and the Phantom. So I'm pretty enthused about these Neca figures, as you wouldn't think an obscure 80s cartoon would be on the radar with Predator and Aliens.
Although they look great and come with cool accessories, it does seem like the paint can come off pretty easily at the joints.
But this was just a quick, simple shot and it came out better than I expected, which indicates good possibilities for these guys.
