Defender la alegría como una trinchera
defenderla del caos y de las pesadillas
de la ajada miseria y de los miserables
de las ausencias breves y las definitivas ...

It's actually the color version of The Abadoned "Grave", pull up the highlight and shadow in lightroom and touch up a little exposure on the stone....did quite alot of photoshop work for this color version, well...hope you like it..
As we watch this Lewis Woodpecker repeatedly return to this Oak tree, I realized he was 'defending his territory'
Again I have added transparency to most of the prims that make up the original defender avatar of Flea Bussy and assembled them around Alpha to create the mechanoid/humanoid hybrid which is now posing on one of the hamster wheels at Syncretia. The skin is, yet again, Vry Offcourse's "Forge" skin...
Now these are the OG Defenders that I made as a reason to use that silver surfboard for (of course) Silver Surfer. I also had a couple other fun new parts for classic Strange, who turned out nicely.
.. the tide was coming in so he would have to move sometime! .. other than that he was rooted to the spot.

Our last day in Oslo we walked down to Akershus Fortress. The first rise we came to had stunning views over the city. On the left are the two towers of the City Hall and main waterfront.

A small vignette I made. I might start making some modern items though WW2 is still my main focus.

A quick trip down to Felixstowe this morning. The tide was a bit too far out for the usual ethereal images this place has to offer. I wanted something a little different anyway and opted for this simple composition. Lovely detail in the sky today and some lovely colour tones.

My countrymen died brave deaths, aside our king. The Hoards from the East came and surrounded our stalwart walls, battering them unmercifully. At last, they scaled and breached our defences, striking down the valiant defenders. Few escaped that day; I was one. Now I go to beg the armies of the West to aid their brothers. Perhaps then my lack of courage on the walls will be forgotten, and I shall be counted as a hero.

If I post accurately, this seagull and the squirrel will sit side-by-side and tell the story of what was happening when I got these shots.
I had taken the camera down to the lakeshore at Jack Darling Park along with a couple of loaves of bread just to see if I could get some seagull photos with a new lens. It's always fun to rile them up a bit with crusts of bread and start shooting the action.
There was the usual scramble as the gulls shrieked at one another and fought for first position in the breadline but this particular bird got my attention because she appeared to be getting really aggressive and it was toward me. Talk about 'biting the hand that feeds you'!
The verbal assault continued and I then realized her anger wasn't directed at me but at what was behind me: a wily squirrel who had found his way into the bag I'd brought with me to the beach---the bag with the loaves of bread and this seagull was defending the food supply.

PLEASE COMMENT!
Hey guys,
Nexus' Defenders ( -> www.flickr.com/photos/94823306@N03/17239109005/in/contacts/ ) inpired me to make my own Defenders. So here they are:
DD: I am not really happy with his head, but I think the body works well. (Ideas for a better head are welcome.)
Iron Fist: I like the more realistic look of him.
Luke Cage: ready to bash ;)
J. J.: Her face isn't perfect, but I have no better face.
something I forgot...yes SKRULLS! : I used the Moria Orc heads on the ADU aliens.
I hope you like them.
