Paris is a magnificent city full of life and history... Everywhere you turn, there are reminders of the past and what this country and citizens have endured. This morning, I went into my photos of Paris and chose a new image to edit. This one spoke to me. I think it is the perfect depiction of what France will do to protect itself.
The Defender is a one-man heavy star fighter with quad engines as well four pylon mounted dual heavy laser cannons.
Irish Air Corps Britten-Norman BN-2T-45 Defender '254' at Daedalus/Solent Airport (EGHF) Hampshire.
The sole example of the type in service with the IAC since 1997, and reportedly retired from its former role, arriving at Daedalus in Nov 2023 and has been in open storage here since then.
These two delivery riders appeared to me to be like guardians of the centre of the city, positioned as they are in a gap in the fortifications designed to keep truck bombers at bay.

The Land Rover G4 Challenge is a global adventure competition, and as the successor to the Camel Trophy it has off-road driving at its core. As of the cancelled 2008/2009 event, the G4 Challenge was to be run in support of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

This German WWI cannon is mounted in Speers Point Park at the northern end of Lake Macquarie. According to the local council it is a minenwerfer, or German trench mortar. It was one of two donated to the Council after the war for display in the Park.

The all new City tyres are a real game changer on the Defender. When we were designing it, we knew that they’ll be out, but the launch was half a year later than the 40659, so we went for something else… Oh well.
I mentioned last week I had purchased a Nikon Z9 recently. Last weekend I took it out for its shakedown event: High School Football.

After a very long period of stop I used the Christmas holidays to return making MOCs. These are my version of Land Rover Defender, 3 and 5 doors.

On December 15 I changed the image by adding highlights to the archers arm, by adding the dragonflies to the foreground and a bit more noise to the whole composition.
