Made with sheet silver. Cut into two pieces. Dapped, stamped, textured then the two pieces were interlocked together and then soldered together.

The larger buffalo herds had moved away from the area this time, so we didn't see many. Quite often the males will hang around in bachelor groups away from the main herd.
There are three of these old males who hang around together and I'm sure I've photographed them before.
Only this guy was hanging around the pool in the afternoon sun. The light changes pretty quickly and goes through several stages during the game drive. In the afternoon the light starts out pretty harsh but with not too many shadows.. Then as the sun starts to decline the day tries one last time to spit out some heat - it seems to get very hot and the first shadows create some harsh light across backs and faces.. This is one example.. the buffalo only has on side facing the sun and is trying to cool off from the last gasp rays.
After this the sun softens, the leafs get highlighted with gentle dapped sun and that's the best time to find a leopard.. Well the photographers best time to find a leopard.. the cat itself often has its own thoughts about that.. Usually they turn up at last light when 1600 ISO and crossed fingers are all that will determine the photos...
Then as the sun really goes down and crosses the horizon its sundowner time.. A gin and tonic in the bush on foot near the landrover.. After that the camera stays away.. not only is the light gone but the G&T has an effect on handholding....

I have decided to mount one of my labradorite cabochon that I cut and polished.
The base plate for the bezel is 1mm thick, on top of which I have soldered an embossed crown. For the bezel itself I use a strip of 0.6mm.
The ring shank is forged from a square wire (4x4mm) on the channel dapping block.

These earrings are entirely handforged. I cut the discs from a sheet of copper and domed/dapped it. The Swarovski pearl and Swarovski crystal are wire wrapped with copper wire, and the earwires are also handforged. I love the patina on these. Couldn't believe how good they looked when I took them out of the tumbler!!!

This series of resin pendants were inspired by a group of vintage Valentine's Day cards that I found at an antique shop. The cards had been written upon and sent to the owners' sweethearts. They looked like they had been saved for years and well loved. I like the idea of taking a piece from someone's long ago love affair and adding that to a piece of jewelry, possibly to be bought and sent by someone to their own love. It gives it a history of hearts!
They are made from brass with Ice Resin and various found objects, brass components, bits of paper, match sticks, and glass beads. The resin is crystal clear, and very reflective, and amplifies the collage inside the brass pendant with amazing detail. Unfortunately, they are so reflective, they are a bit hard for me to photograph, but I love each one dearly!
This pendant was made from a raw brass frame pendant, which was heated with flame to give it interesting coloration. Some of the pendants in this series were also hand domed with a hammer and dapping block. The pendant was then carefully filled with the paper and found object bits and covered with a water-like layer of crystal clear resin.
