No voice, you left silently
Where to look from your inbox a stray key?
•
Bez hlesu, neslyšně odešels pryč
Kde hledat od schránky zapadlý klíč?
•
Sometimes you stumble across a few chords that put you in a reflective place.

David Bowie - Heroes
Mi hai accompagnato in tante occasioni......lungo le strade che ho percorso.
ciao
a completar le parole
che la tua voce non sa articolare.
Non ci occorrono più le parole.
Siamo entrambi il medesimo silenzio.
Come due specchi, svuotati d' ogni immagine,
che l'uno all'altro rendono
un semplice raggio.
E ci basta.

Low is the 11th studio album by English musician David Bowie, released on RCA Records on 14 January 1977. Recorded following Bowie's move to West Berlin after a period of drug addiction and personal instability, Low became the first of three collaborations with producers Brian Eno and Tony Visconti, later termed the "Berlin Trilogy". However, the album was recorded largely in France at the Château d'Hérouville and marked a shift in Bowie's musical style toward an electronic and ambient approach that would be further explored on subsequent albums "Heroes" (1977) and Lodger (1979). The music of Low was inspired by the German music scene, particularly Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk and Neu!.
Low has been considered ahead of its time and has become widely acclaimed as one of Bowie's best and most influential works. It has appeared on numerous "best-of" lists, including by Pitchfork, who placed it at number 1 in its list of the Top 100 Albums of the 1970s, and by Q, who placed it at number 14 in its list of the 100 Greatest British Albums Ever. In 2013, NME listed the album as the 14th greatest of all time. It was also listed as one of Rolling Stone's 500 greatest albums of all time. (from Wikipedia)

Five years ago today the magnificent, never forgotten musical genius passed away.
We are very fortunate to always have his joyful, thought provoking & inspiring music to turn to.
I have so many favourite Bowie songs but I thought this one was appropriate, dedicated to all the amazing NHS staff & countless key workers keeping our country going.
The one, the only David Bowie by artist Sid Tapia.
There's no artist I miss more than Bowie. It's so hard to pick a favourite track, but this one is way up there.
This is a book bench. There are ten book benches situated in and around Bromley to celebrate art and the cultural heritage of the area. They have been made into a trail. Details of which can be found at.....

This is obviously David Bowie. He spent much of his early life in Bromley. He went to one of the local High Schools where learnt to play a variety of instruments including the Ukelele, piano and saxophone. The rest is history.....
Unbelievably, while I was taking this shot a punk with a Mohican haircut was watching me. I politely enquired if he would mind sitting in the middle of the purple bench and stare me out? He politely declined as he didn't want to get his trousers wet.....Rock and roll 😁😁😁......
Thanks very much for visiting.....
I originally posted this image in September of 2012 but thought it was worth another look today.
Look up here, I'm in heaven
I've got scars that can't be seen
I've got drama, can't be stolen
Everybody knows me now
The first verse of David Bowie's song Lazarus, that was released just last Friday.
This is for David Bowie - the news hit me this morning.
I fell in love with his music at the age of thirteen and since then I was delighted and inspired by his wide range of musical creativity.
Miss his brilliance already now.
Rest in peace, starman, your light is shining forever.

There’s a starman waiting in the sky
he’d like to come and meet us
but he thinks he’d blow our minds
there’s a starman waiting in the sky
he’s told us not to blow it
cause he knows it’s all worthwhile
he told me: let the children lose it
let the children use it
let all the children boogie..
"Wake up you sleepy head
Put on some clothes
Shake up your bed
Put another log on the fire for me
I've made some breakfast and coffee
Look out my window and what do I see
A crack in the sky
And a hand reaching down to me
All the nightmares came today
And it looks as though they're here to stay..."

In 2013 I was fortunate to visit the wonderful David Bowie exhibition at V&A Museum in London.
Since then, the show visited 11 venues in ten countries. It is now officially the most-visited international touring show in the 165-year history of the V&A, with more than 2m visitors.
Bowie may have stepped off this earth, but his influence lives on.
I, I will be King
And you, you will be Queen
Though nothing, will drive them away
We can beat them, just for one day
We can be heroes, just for one day.
The death of David Bowie last week has led to a profound outpouring of grief, memories and quality tunes on the radio.
This is Bristol's tribute, a piece by Incwel on Perry Road which appeared several years ago. I walked to it today to pay a little homage. We have much to thank him for.
(I've cloned out the tag which I think ruins it.)
I've just received this rather wonderful custom minifigure of one of my favorite music artists. So thought I'd create a little scene to show him off.
He's well worth buying and is available here
