Here's a better view of Charlie's new wig with the blond tips. I really love it and I'm happy with her new look. I have been toying with the idea of changing her eyechips, but I'm afraid that will take away most of her 'Risa-ness', if you know what I mean...

Hi, Flickr! It's been a while. This photo isn't new, unfortunately. I meant to come back and become a regular once again, but work has made me so busy. I was even away for about two weeks -- because I went to see tennis at Wimbledon! I would love to take as many doll photos as I used to before, but I'd have to deal with all the backlog first...

I take it my Dals are now begging to go to Disneyland. Eek. They're a little jealous since Coco got to go a few years ago. ^^;

Mentre mi addormentavo pensando a quanto mi è capitato oggi mi sono ricordata una cosa.
Nel pomeriggio ero dal fruttivendolo e una tipa, con una scarpa rossa con tacco a spillo cattivo, mi è salita sul piede nudo nel sandalo.
Ho visto il neretto che mi stava servendo sbiancare, signora tutto bene? Le vado a prendere del ghiaccio?
No niente bene ho detto, ma non si preoccupi ed ho continuato a fare la spesa sotto agli occhi increduli del neretto e la disperazione della tipa in tacco a spillo che faceva la spesa colta dai sensi di colpa per la sua disattenzione.
Alcuni anni fa, durante un esame notoriamente doloroso che si chiama elettromiografia, ho scoperto che io sento il dolore grandemente scemato: insomma la mia scala del dolore in genere è molto alta. Quello mi mandava scariche elettriche nella mano ed io non gridavo.
Signora ma lei di notte dorne, mi chiese il tipo. Perché lei con un nervo così ridotto dovrebbe essere sveglia di notte.
Mi spiegò anche che tutto questo non era un fatto buono perché il dolore serve, gridare la propria sofferenza serve, se io non mi accorgo di soffrire sottovaluto il sintomo e la malattia peggiora.
Con il passare del tempo infatti ho capito che, così come il tacco nel piede deve farti saltare dal dolore affinché tu ci metta subito il ghiaccio, allo stesso modo se chi ti ama ti fa del male devi reagire con un giusto dolore e non far finta che non sia capitato nulla e tirare avanti, perché prima o poi la vita ti presenta tutti i conti delle lacrime non versate.
Was very very lucky to see Dal Lake in its true elements, minus any hustle bustle of tourists. Awesomely majestic....

Hehe I got this girl at the mall today. I couldn't resist! I've been curious about Dals for awhile now. They've been growing on me. At first I thought they looked soo odd, but seeing lots of wonderful pictures of them online has changed my thoughts on them. Her bear costume is soo wonderfully soft!
Got my dad to help me hold the reflector while I did this pic.

Savannah est la petite protégée de William. Je conserve sa wig dont la couleur est superbe, la coupe bien faite et de très bonne qualité. Je lui ai fabriqué des eyeships à rouages, il ne manque plus qu'un obitsu.
My SDCC friend helped one of my overseas friends get the Dal, it's doing a layover at my house before I ship it out to her (I was asked to debox for shipping and given permission to snap a few pictures). I'm still unsure if I actually managed to snag the SDCC dolls for myself or not yet, I'm still waiting to hear back.
