Washington, D.C.
Just got back in from a shoot up in the nations capitol. Our last set up was on this rooftop, which was really beautiful. You could see the Washington Monument, the Capitol building, Nations Cathedral and tons more. This was facing west, I believe, toward Georgetown.
About 10 minutes after setting up, a random cloud of rain came down on us. This was the result. We also shot in the rain for awhile, but covering up my lights with bags and clothing we had laying around wasn't the greatest idea, so we stopped before I ruined another set of lights in the name of photography. More to come of those shots as they are released.
Leave your thoughts!!

The Fokker D.VII was a German World War I fighter aircraft designed by Reinhold Platz of the Fokker-Flugzeugwerke. Germany produced around 3,300 D.VII aircraft in the summer and autumn of 1918. In service with the Luftstreitkräfte, the D.VII quickly proved itself to be a formidable aircraft. The Armistice ending the war specifically required Germany to surrender all D.VIIs to the Allies. Surviving aircraft saw continued widespread service with many other countries in the years after World War I.

The museum building was originally a railway station, Gare d'Orsay, constructed for the Chemin de Fer de Paris à Orléans and finished in time for the 1900 Exposition Universelle to the design of three architects: Lucien Magne, Émile Bénard and Victor Laloux. It was the terminus for the railways of southwestern France until 1939.
By 1939 the station's short platforms had become unsuitable for the longer trains that had come to be used for mainline services. After 1939 it was used for suburban services and part of it became a mailing centre during World War II. It was then used as a set for several films, such as Kafka's The Trial adapted by Orson Welles, and as a haven for the Renaud–Barrault Theatre Company and for auctioneers, while the Hôtel Drouot was being rebuilt.
In 1970, permission was granted to demolish the station but Jacques Duhamel, Minister for Cultural Affairs, ruled against plans to build a new hotel in its stead. The station was put on the supplementary list of Historic Monuments and finally listed in 1978. The suggestion to turn the station into a museum came from the Directorate of the Museums of France. The idea was to build a museum that would bridge the gap between the Louvre and the National Museum of Modern Art at the Georges Pompidou Centre. The plan was accepted by Georges Pompidou and a study was commissioned in 1974. In 1978, a competition was organized to design the new museum. ACT Architecture, a team of three young architects (Pierre Colboc, Renaud Bardon and Jean-Paul Philippon), were awarded the contract which involved creating 20,000 sq. m. of new floorspace on four floors. The construction work was carried out by Bouygues.[3] In 1981, the Italian architect Gae Aulenti was chosen to design the interior including the internal arrangement, decoration, furniture and fittings of the museum. Finally in July 1986, the museum was ready to receive its exhibits. It took 6 months to install the 2000 or so paintings, 600 sculptures and other works. The museum officially opened in December 1986 by then-president François Mitterrand.

Alaskan lupin was deliberately introduced to Iceland to colonize poor soils. Seeding to reclaim the desert was sometimes carried out on a large scale, with tons of seeds and fertilizers being dropped by plane over thousands of hectares. It has acclimatized well and spread throughout the country. One might fear that its growth would get out of control, but in most cases, it disappears on its own after 15 to 40 years.

The bus retained its LT red livery but aquired a number of the modernised version of the traditional M & D scroll. Here loading outside Rochester Cathedral in August 1997 it looks very smart.

D'Alton Falls Canyon, Overland Track | TAS | Australia
While Luke dropped down to the shelf facing D'Alton Falls, I decided to venture further down, right into the canyon itself. The descent is not for the faint of heart, as you could probably tell by the steepness of the surrounding walls. ;)
When you get down there, the danger doesn't stop. I was always one misstep away from slipping and smashing my camera gear, or putting my skull into one of the rocks, that have very sharp angles! My heart was racing a little and I was concentrating greatly. The danger was intensified by the fact that it was raining, and the roar of D'Alton falls made it near impossible to hear one another - not unless you yelled out from the top of your lungs and even then you'd think, "what was that?". I was relieved to finally regroup back up top, and I'm sure Luke was happy to see me again in one piece!

L’île d’Yeu is an island off the french atlantic coast (10 km long, area 23 km², population approximately 5000 inhabitants).
The immense interest of the coast of this island is its variety : long beaches facing the mainland, low rocky coast interspersed with small beaches on the north, Wild Coast and cliffs face off.
This is the most famous place on this island : the harbour called le port de la Meule located on the wild coast.
