These are a few of the tiny crustaceans and things found in a vernal pond at Wickiup Nature Center: cyclops and shrimp (I think). Don't hesitate to comment if I mis-identified anything. The presumed cyclops were the only ones in this image that I actually saw - they were visible primarily due to their quick motion. They were too small for me to easily focus on, especially while swimming all over and up and down through the water.

I have not really noticed the nice colored stripes on the cyclops as I've seen them photographed under microscope so despite the poor quality, I think the image is still of interest.

I had to stand one foot on ice and one in the muck to try to photograph these - it was very unstable and the ice finally gave way which mucked up the water and ended the session. I had rubber boots on which kept me from getting wet. In this situation - if anyone is tempted to try such a foolish thing - I recommend waders.

Barron Cyclops

A classic robot design of yesteryear and golden age comic books,

the Barron stands guard with his one glowing red eye and deep blue energy core.

Head is a part from an espresso maker, bike gears, vintage flower sifter, car door handle

arms and c.b. antenna spring legs. Not to mention the proud display of his real piolet wings. His bright red eye and deep blue energy core are ultra-bright LED'S About 14" tall.

Made with waterslide decals. Torso decal made by thepyromaster and the face was made by me.

Harald Seiwert was in town but it was too wet for us to go outside as intended. We did these in the living room which came with the benefit of being able to listen to music, play guitar and even do a garage band session in between.. lots of stuff to talk about as this was Harald’s first encounter with light painting. His explosion of happiness upon seeing the first good shot was very recognizable so we kept on going until blue hour. He’s an experienced 3D animator as well and we have plans to collaborate on that front too.

The mini-sub transforms into a mini Cyclops/Shockwave! Even has anchor and chain and can stowed in a compartment on the port side.

I found this Cyclops in some pond water in South Bend. This high magnification micrograph shows the red eye.

Photographed using a Bausch & Lomb biological microscope with a Baush & Lomb Phase Contrast condenser. Leica MIKAS microscope adapter with a 2/3X reducer, 40X objective and a 10X eyepiece.

A very tiny office monster.

Thanks for the tip Captain

This aeonium hybrid was presented as cultivar 'Cyclops' . . .

Possibly it is ~ we really are not certain at this point.

The faceup is near done. x3 Gonna fix up some of the spots and Bai is ready to face the world. Just these light pastel colors I think for this one, since the sculpt and the eye are both so distinctive. Plus Bai's an alien and I do not want it to look as if ze has make-up.

Bai is of Camellia sculpt (cyclops head) by doll company Aileendoll.

determined to find jean, he'll stop at nothing

There are too many people to credit for the decals, but i thank them all, i'm gonna do a wolverine and the x-men storyline of my own. so i just need characters, not credit

I learnt two things from taking this pic.

One, I desperately need to clean my poor lens and two, I need to use some handcream!!!

Lego Cyclops. Classic dark blue/modern Astonishing X-Men outfit. My own design, made with the Eclipsegrafx custom head.

Just playing with the macro function on my friends digital camera. Macro photography can be really fun! Haven't really tried it out before this.

And yes, this is my eye ;D

me, myself and I...

It's one eye, not two. They just didn't paint the pupil, and it looks like it could be either. The Cyclops is an awesome lava gormiti, with a lot of stuff going on. His limbs are as flexible as worms, he has mouths in his hands, and he seems to be wearing heated rock as armor, not made from it. It's just too bad that the eye wasn't as smoothly-done as it could have been.

Cyclops. Isn't he supposed to be in jail?
