disclaimer: this is very, very boring.
I put a lot of effort into rooting my HTC Magic, and finally succeeded. CyanogenMod 6 is a lot snappier than the stock firmware and I'm very pleased that I got it working. this means that money for a new phone can go towards my next lens instead!
