Looks nice with the monochrome green, although YouTube plays in color.
If you're running Cyanogenmod 7, try out the RenderFX Widget on the home screen. Works for Green, Red and some other colors.
About 20 mins later and I'm all done! The flavour I chose was Cyanogenmod 10.1 Nightly. I used SMS Backup & Restore to backup my SMS messages.
The rest of my data is all on Google - contacts, save data, apps and wot not. All of that gets installed in the new system automatically after logging in.
All Android phones require a Google account. Gmail is my mail tool and I love the way that people I reply to just appear in my contacts on my phone. Google calendar schedules also automatically appear without having to do anything.

Tues. the 23rd and taking a break from walkabouts.
Instead took a 16gb micro-SD card and rooted my Nook Color to Jellybean Android tablet.
.
Currently using the Xperia Z2 - still waiting for Lollipop so that I can save stuff on the SD card again ><
The "waterproof" seal for the Micro USB port keeps popping out as you see in the photo though.
The Xperia series is the only flavor of Android where I don't need to change the OS to CyanogenMod.

As I wasn't happy with the default Sense OS, I went about to replace it by installing Cyanogenmod just like I did with my S3.
Cyanogenmod (also known as CM10) is a customizable operating system for android devices - you basically replace the current OS.
The steps I took are copy pasted below from XDA Developers.
First time installing CyanogenMod 10.1 to your HTC One (GSM), or coming from another ROM:
- Unlock your device via www.htcdev.com
- Flash the latest official ClockworkMod-Recovery via Fastboot
- Copy GApps and CM10.1 ZIPs to your SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM10.1 zip from SDCard
- Flash GApps zip from SDCard
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET
- Reboot
- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
- Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!
Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 10.1:
- Copy CM10.1 ZIP to your SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM10.1 zip from SDCard
- Reboot
Upgrading from CyanogenMod 10:
- Read known issues ans FAQs
- Copy GApps and CM10.1 ZIPs to your SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM10.1 zip from SDCard
- Flash GApps zip from SDCard
- Reboot
- Wipe data of clock app
- Reset everything under Settings -> Date & Time otherwise editing alarms might cause FCs

On 5 May 2012, my phone couldn't boot pass the starting screen. This brought an end to the project (which let's face it, I haven't been faithfully carrying out lately).
This photo was taken with my new HTC One X and first appeared on instagram.
It has been a fun and sometimes challenging 269 days. I hope I have grown since.
And thank you to everyone out there that have paid a little visit to this little show.

I got a new phone. The HTC One M8s. A little concerned as there is nothing to flash it with yet, e.g. Cyanogenmod or Paranoid Android. I feel like it's the forgotten model, in between the M8 and the M9..... argh!
