I hated the white notification bar with the stock Android. Installed a modified one, originating from the HTC Desire/Sense UI (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=640707)
I figured out how to get my CyanogenMod ROM phone back to its former glory with blazing fast WiFi speeds! Neeow!

Tiene malo el botón de encendido: se enciende mediante un truco con el cargador, y la pantalla se prende con el trackball y se apaga mediante botones de software.
Tiene instalado el ROM CyanogenMod 7.2 (Android 2.3.7), e incluye una tarjeta SD de 2GB. Incluye también una carcaza de silicona, y una batería extra original.
Desbloqueado para cualquier compañía. Soporta 3G en las bandas 2100 MHz, 1900 MHz, y 850 MHz. (sirve con Claro, Entel, Movistar, y todos los operadores virtuales que usan la red movistar).
We tried to help Clint's co-worker root an old phone, but we ended up being unsuccessful. We at least got the recovery onto it. But yeahhh... Totally bricked his phone to the point where it would not even charge. He had already ordered a new one, and was willing to lose it. The problem was he thought the ROM would be the same for every phone, but no, if you have a different carrier, your phone was actually a different model that needed a different ROM. It would probably be recoverable with the right knowledge, and with a battery charged by another phone inserted into this one (because it won't charge in current state). In 2015, Carolyn bricked her Samsung S2, but then unbricked it and put the latest Cyanogenmod with the latest 2015-Android-version on it. Impressive.

Finally carved out the time to root my phone and get Froyo running on it.
Such rejuvenation. Android 2.2 (Froyo) is a breath of fresh air compared to 1.6 (Donut).
If you want to nerd it up with me, comment or send me a flickr mail and I'll tell you how I went about doing it. I encountered a few obstacles but it took about 15 minutes after it was all said and done.
Strobist info: sb900 with omnibounce at 1/128th power under the glass table under the phone. Bare sb600 at 1/32nd power to left of phone bounced into the white part of a 5-in-1 reflector. Triggered via manual CLS.
