With no particular goal, we spent the afternoon hanging out in the Learning Studio and making things with the Laser Cutter.

Every morning in every market in the Philippines, there is this action. A young man (or old man as well) cutting meat to be sold to the customers that come see them.

I was working on my laser cutter tonight (9/16/2012), everything was going fine. I went back to adjust a few settings printed.. Came back and my LCD was dead. Rebooted... Nothing... So I did what anyone with an out of warrant $15k device.. I took it apart and started probing test points, voltage inputs etc.. I found that I am not getting anything on the "main board" other than the 48v that comes directly from the power supply. Since there was no other power supply I started looking on the mother board for voltage regulators. It did not take much time to see the burned spot on this TSOP 16 chip.

A quick lucky google search revaled that it was this chip.

Its $10 dollars on digikey. I put a ticket into Epilog to see what they say. However, I am fairly confident that ordering one of these and replacing this chip will fix my problems. However, collateral damage is alway a concern. I wonder if anything else blew along the way... No way to tell at the moment.. But cool story and pics :)

These Ribbon fries are made of heavy metal and are probably ten times the cost of the basic one, but well worth it if you have a restaurant or eatery. The heavy-duty Tornado Fries machine variety of French fry slicers may be automatic and have the capacity to slice more than one potato at a time. These are commonly used by restaurants which do not have the service of using ready-cut French fries.

Twisted Chips cutter is a great piece of kitchen equipment if you need to and want to make your own home made fries. You have the ability to choose to make mini chipstix on skewer or perhaps bigger fries by using the very best potatoes of your own choice. You should definitely look for a cutter that is very light-weight and simple to use. This will mean that you can create a fantastic portion of fries each and every time. more details call us at 0091 - 9703202020

Wendy is using our angle grinder to lop off the ends of the arches.

When we designed the dome it was around the maximum length of the

rebar that we get locally which is 20'. The outer arch uses a full

stick of rebar while the inner has about 15" left over. We recently

found out that there are very thin carbide wheels for angle grinders

which can easily cut through rebar. We had been using the fat wheels

which are good for grinding down messy welds, but terrible for

cutting steel.

One of our favourite meals to make on the weekends is homemade pizza and until now I have been searching for the perfect pizza cutter. When I found this hardware not only was I very impressed with the quality of it but also the fact that once you're all done slicing up your masterpiece simply unscrew the hardware from the handle and throw it in the dishwasher. I made this one using a beautiful piece of olivewood.
