Here's me, circa 1994, when I worked at the car wash; my buddy Rachel, who used to come and 'help out'; and a German couple who were touring the world on their bikes.

I had met the Germans the day before when they had pulled up alongside me on my ride home to ask me where the BMW bike dealership was, so that they could get a couple of bike shipping crates to send the bikes to New Zealand or wherever the next leg of their trip was. I invited them home for dinner and took them for a free bike wash :-)

P.S. My posture is still terrible but at least I have a bit more hair

Customised Alphabet by Sarah Pritchard

Alphabet designed to represent me as a person: who I am, what I do, where I'm from, etc...

I used each of the letters that spell out my name to show the physical aspect of me that people usually see; such as things I wear or have with me. I showed this by incorporating illustrated images of them on to the letters. I then used the remainder of the letters to communicate different things about me, such as where I'm from, words that I say, etc. I kept these designs more simple by just using words/symbols within the letters so that there is a clear distinction between them. I hand drew each of the letter designs to represent the fact that I am hand made by myself and I am who I want to be, not what someone else has made.

I used a series of colours then with the designs to show the fact that I am bright and creative. For the background, I used a selection of photos of people I am close to and places I have been. Then, using a bokeh style I made them look worn to represent the fact that they are timeless memories, and presented each of the designs to look like a series of polaroid pictures.

this is my old victorinox swiss army knife it had a nasty plastic handle with a useles lock on the wrongside of the handle to be of use.i replaced the scales with some rather nice red dyed stabilised birch burl scales,all done by me in 4 hours.
