I've wanted to customise My Little Ponies for ages since I learned it was a 'thing' - but I never really had any ideas. I used to customise model horses (Breyer, Magpie etc) and loved MLPs as a child (my mum sold ours at a jumble sale >.<) so it wasn't a big surprise for me to want to combine the two.

I have an idea - I'm certain it's been done a million times before (I found one but it was a bit rubbish) but I just want to do it. I don't particularly like it or want to keep it either! It's just a project.

Anyway, base coat here. The photo does a fantastic job of disguising the nice shading I did and the beautiful metallic paint, and instead making it look a bit bland, splotchy and poorly done. I'll see if natural light helps tomorrow :(

Spotted in the Peak District - on a 2003 plate.

Note the complex spring mechanism on the front forks.

Pic taken sometime in the 90s-not long after there was pics of it in a custom magazine-i cant remember if it was Custom Car or Street Machine-it had sadly been banger raced!

Car was built by Richard King and was featured in the Street Machine magazine in 1979.

Display stand at Mirfield model rail event, with a Tomy EH200 electric locomotive, which is on some Thomas trackmaster revolution track.

The customised "Warship" is on the Tomy, blue plastic track and the A4 steam loco is on some scratchbuilt track made from C&L sleepers with Plastruct rails and the track is useable !

Customised scooter at an Isle of Wight scooter festival, art work a tribute to.Roy Lichtenstein (October 27, 1923 – September 29, 1997) was a prominent American pop artist. During the 1960s, his paintings were exhibited at the Leo Castelli Gallery in New York City and along with Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, James Rosenquist and others he became a leading figure in the new art movement. His work defined the basic premise of pop art better than any other through parody. [2] Favoring the old-fashioned comic strip as subject matter, Lichtenstein produced hard-edged, precise compositions that documented while it parodied often in a tongue-in-cheek humorous manner. His work was heavily influenced by both popular advertising and the comic book style. He described Pop Art as, "not 'American' painting but actually industrial painting".[3]

thru Alibaba ... she is translucent and looks a bit uncertain (perhaps she knows that I intend to customise her)

Lovely dark purple (aubergine) hair - soft, thick and gently waving. Nice eyelashes. The translucent skin is very shiny (but I'll be matting that) her lips are very full.

There is a slight line in her blush (I'm ok with that as I'll be matting it away but ...) also notice that there is a larger gap between hair line and scalp/dome meeting line than you get with Takara girls. And her nose does look a bit wider ? or is that a RBL+ thing.
