Financial technology has altered how money moves. What risks are posed to banks and customers when these funds are brokered between banks? Are brokered deposits the risky form of “hot money” associated with troubled banks? Or, are they tools of cash management serving a new financial landscape? Do regulations need to change and, if so, how?
On Wednesday, December 11, the Center on Regulation and Markets at Brookings hosted FDIC Chairman Jelena McWilliams to share her insights and thoughts on the balance between modernizing regulation to adapt to technology while ensuring safety and soundness for depositors. Following McWilliams’ speech, a panel of experts offered their perspectives.

Ferrari uses the Corse Clienti Ferrari Racing Days meetings at various circuits to allow a group of specially selected customers to test limited edition cars developed exclusively for the track and to provide feedback on the performance of the cars to Corse Clienti engineers, thus helping Ferrari to develop its cars for the future. The Ferrari Racing Days meeting at Silverstone in September 2017 included a series of test sessions involving the Ferrari FXX-K, the 'K' referring to the KERS kinetic energy recovery system with which the car is equipped. Here's one of the cars pictured at Club Corner during one of the sessions. It's USA driver James Weiland in his Ferrari FXX-K, which is based on the LaFerrari. The car has a 6,262cc V12 engine that develops 848 hp, to which the 140kW electric motor adds 188 hp.

Todays feature is the wonderful and super talented Asher AKA rainbow_ferret on IG. Asher has some mind-numbingly beautiful art and I got to make some wigs on commission late last year. Her character designs are unique, beautifully executed and her dolls look pretty smashing too with their fun, colourful styling. Asher styles the soy really nicely in a way that looks natural, despite being super bright. Overall I think they really complement her style as both an artist and a BJD hobbyist~
