This Impala is less than six months old but is already a lowrider with full metalflake paint job by Carl Darling.
I recently photographed this cool custom and the beautiful Jessi for Cruzin mag! You can read all about it here: capricephotography.wordpress.com/2014/07/01/7004/
Cheers!
Visit on February 26, 2016 to the Detroit Autorama, America's greatest hot rod show, as it is billed. More than 1000 cars are displayed on two levels, including a few authentic original-style classics.
This golden 1937 Ford Coupe was selected as one of eight finalists for Autorama's Ridler Award, the most coveted award in the custom car hobby. To qualify for the award, Autorama must be the car's first showing to the public. Even photos of the finished car shown prior to this event will disqualify a car from selection. Here the owner of this finalist is being interviewed.

This 1965 model is representative of the classic mid to late 60s lowrider. The Riviera is arguably one of the best looking automotive designs of all time.
The Custom Car gathering in Worthing coincided with the first day of the London 2012 Olympics. As I was committed to London 2012 my daughter kindly agreed to follow in Dad's footsteps and take pictures of anything she could so I've credited these shots to her though they are still posted under the Creative Commons, Attrib, No Commercial, No Derivative licence.
Visit to the Gilmore Car Museum on August 3, 2013. A special display 'American Legends' currently showcases several hot rods and custom cars. This 1933 Ford was customized in the early fifties, taking on an informal nickname of "Oliver Hine's 25 Varieties" because the car was built by Oliver Hine, who used parts from 25 different cars. Here are some details: 1949 - 1951 Cadillac 331 cubic inch V-8 engine; fenders from six 1938 Chevrolets and a Brewster Town Car grille shortened 6 inches.

The August 30, 2009 Baker's Restaurant Sunday Cruise-in near Milford, Michigan. This cruise-in takes place every Sunday afternoon during the warm weather months.
I am inclined to think that this may be a kit car. Others are free to offer their opinions (or knowledge).

Visit to the 2013 Hines Drive Cruise on August 25. This cruise follows approx. six miles of Hines Drive along the valley of the Rouge River (well upstream from the Ford River Rouge Plant). The drive is closed to regular traffic and it's estimated that more than 30,000 Classic cars, customs and street rods were in attendance.
Photographed "on the move", this was the only shot I got of this flamboyant custom.
