This tastefully modified Ford coupe carried two of the visitors to the memorial for Spike McMurtrie, an avid car aficionado and one of my favorite people. Spike passed away on September 19, 2019.

My friend and flickr contact Dale and I visited Spike, a prolific collector of classic cars, on November 16, 2015. Spike recently purchased this custom Triumph Mayflower and the workmanship (performed by the former owner, a retired Ford engineer) is of top notch quality right down to the smallest detail.

Our car Club went on a mystery Run this weekend which included a stop in parkland - I had to snap this wicked Caddy Lead sled hiding among the Autumn foliage!
The August 2, 2015 Brighton cruise night, part of the Kiwanis Gazebo Concert series at the Millpond in downtown Brighton, Michigan. These concerts and cruise-ins take place every Sunday evening in July and August.

Visit on February 26, 2016 to the Detroit Autorama, America's greatest hot rod show, as it is billed. More than 1000 cars are displayed on two levels, including a few authentic original-style classics.
This sharp custom Ford was the winner of the 2016 Detroit Autorama Preservation Award.
