The Custom Otto is based on the artwork from the original Hot Wheels packaging from 1968. This casting was resurrected in 2008 for Hot Wheel's 40th Anniversary.
Thin Air Car Show, Green Mountain Falls, Colorado
For 1957, Ford made two quite different versions of the large car, the Fairlane body and the Custom body. The cabin areas were larger on the Fairlane, and the length of body and chassis. I suspect the slightly more stylish longer car encouraged people to pay a little more.
Taillight lens looks like it came from a '63 or '64 Galaxie.
This girl right here is very special, she is the result of your guys' support towards me during this fun customizing journey. Last June I ran a custom-service giveaway where close to 500 people entered, (thank you all who did!) it was very exciting but for now there could only be one winner, well this girl's mom was the lucky one! This sweet girl is staying in the US, with a beautiful family of gorgeous dollies and the sweetest dolly momma ever, in Washington state. The base doll is a Les Jeunette and all 4 of her eye chips were made by Nora Holá. Hope you like her!
My trade girl is here! This girl and her mom have been so patient with me, but I gotta share, she was a stubborn one! lol First she had a matte faceplate which I had never worked on, that took some time to sand! then her old scalp wasn't cooperative so we got her a new one and we waited for that and eye chips AND for a licca body for weeks. Her sweet face has been waiting to come to life for so long and finally, she came together today! She's sweet and quiet but can be determined when she wants to! We are trying to decide on a name for her. I hope you like her! more pictures to come before she travels back home to Chicago!

Her base doll is authentic Musical Trench Blythe who was sort of a rescue so she got a new chance at life.

My custom #55 has been awake and waiting for her photo session for what it feels an eternity!!! Things have been crazy busy around here but I was finally able to get to her. This girl is very special and I'm very excited to finally show her off. As many of you know I am a BIG Beatles fan, but I am also a HUGE Tolé Tolé Dolls fan! I have been since I very first started Blything; so when Raquel and I discussed a trade about a year ago, I was beyond ecstatic! Even more so when Raquel requested a Beatles' themed girl. I knew I'd have a blast working on her! The base doll is Marrakech Melange and her mom decided to name her Jude. She will be traveling back to Spain soon. I hope you all love her as much as I loved creating her! <3

A friend of mine restores classic cars for a hobby/side-job and asked me to come over and shoot one of his cars. This is actually the '65 Mustang that he built for his mother. This classic started out as a coupe, but he changed it to a convertible. He also customized the front end and back end. The engine is also not original. He replaced it with a 302 from a late 80's Mustang. The car is really beautiful. He does nice work.
This was my first attempt at shooting a car and it definitely presented some challenges. I used my two speedlights to light it and ended up compositing several shots in Photoshop to get the right lighting and look I wanted. I was shooting the speedlights at full power and sometimes 1/2 power since I had the aperture tighted up to f10. Could have really used some Alien Bees or something here. Anyway, I think I did a pretty good job and the end result is pretty cool. I showed this final shot to my friend and he was really happy with it, which is what really matters here.
