On May 9, 2023, the 26th annual Perlman Cup took place at Forsgate Country Club. This golf outing for women and is designed to accommodate beginners as well as experienced golfers. Dedicated to the memory of Bessie Cutter Perlman, the mother of Special Olympics New Jersey, this event honors her commitment to individuals with intellectual disabilities and her hope for a more inclusive community.

Vintage Magic - Zina Bennett Cups & Balls
Perhaps best recognized for his marriage to Suzy Wandas, Zina Bennett was an accomplished performer in his own right. A skilled surgeon, Bennett had large and dexterous hands which allowed him to manipulate and even back palm jumbo cards(!) He was active in the Detroit magic clubs and was a regular at Abbott's Magic Get Together.
This set of cups was Doc Bennett’s personal set. They measure a bit more than 3 1/2 " tall and 2 3/4" at the mouth. Although they are unmarked, they are likely P&L. Curiously, it’s a mismatched but identical set of 2 copper cups and one brass (or so it appears). I've cleaned them up but they're still oxidized in certain places, probably from years sitting on the shelf in the small theater that Suzy and Zina had in their basement in Detroit.

Given to me by a friend at work who knows how much I love Taos but doesn't realize how much I detest herpetological species so I just couldn't take it home. Instead I've used it almost daily for four years to drink hot tea (oolong or jasmine) whereas I would never have had to look at it at home in the back of a dark cupboard. Go figure.

Chile lost to Brazil 3-0 , but the celebration went on , Commercial Drive is World Cup central in Vancouver and everybody knows what REAL Football is (not the US fake played with the hands game)

The measuring cup was priced at $2.00! I didn't stuff the box like before because there really wasn't a whole lot to choose from today. I am excited about the Corning Fireside mug! All the woodland brown is for my son.
