Dedicated to the memory of Bessie Cutter Perlman, the mother of Special Olympics New Jersey, this event honors her commitment to individuals with intellectual disabilities and her hope for a more inclusive community.

Gothia cup är världens största ungdomsfotbollsturnering för pojkar och flickor i åldern 11-18 år. I år kom runt 40 000 deltagare att spela cupen på sammanlagt 102 fotbollsplaner i Göteborg, Mölndal och Kungsbacka.
I sommar slog turneringen rekord i antal deltagande nationer: Lag från 82 länder deltog i Gothia cup 2017.

The FA Cup is the oldest soccer competition in the world.
The cup has been held up in front of a worldwide audience of millions (maybe billions?) over the years, by the great and the good of the footballing world. Yesterday I had the chance to grab hold of those famous handles myself.
I was wearing a replica 2011 FA Cup Final City shirt at the time. I bought this shirt five minutes before the kick off of the final back in May and intended to frame it. I really don't suit footy shirts (or holding the FA Cup, for that matter), so here's the Cup and the shirt.
Bronze Age c. 1700-1500 BC
Found in 1837 on Bodmin Moor, Cornwall in a burial containing a bronze dagger, ivory, pottery and glass beads. The Cup was aquired by William IV and was used to house the royal cufflinks up until the reign of George V when it was lent to the British Museum.
