LTZ2125 is seen at White Hart Lane Station on the L1 to Enfield Town. With the livery/branding on the way out, it would be foolish not to grab a picture. This Overground replacement is personally my favourite, although the route is overtimed. The L1/L2 crosslink, which means this bus started out in Cheshunt.

I have friends who live on LVF so already hypothesised this working in the morning when a PVL did 658... And tensions only grew when the president did the route again in the afternoon - the relatively new BX duty on 291 crosslinks off that school route, so…
Luckily nothing stupid like this getting subbed off after a first trip happened, so I could successfully grab this. Shame it was a bit hazy though so no full sun. Meh guess can't have everything!
Bonus points go not only for full blinding, but also remembering to include the rear and side blinds too!
Despite the blind, this is a 36 - 36X crosslink. This year there were no returning 36Xs from Notting Hill - buses were crosslinked as Y36s instead. Such blinding was a nice anomaly out of quite a few haha
801 (X100RDG) seen starting at Earley Gate as it heads for Reading Town Centre whilst making a rare appearance on the 19b.
The 19b has an hourly departure from Earley Gate on the corner of the University of Reading campus (at "39 past the hour until 11pm) where it runs into Reading Town Centre; as of late a few deckers have appeared due to traffic related issues hindering the use of other vehicles that crosslink onto the route.
ES61 is seen at Waltham Cross on the 279. This is the first of the batch to do the route with one of the 307 batch doing the N279 crosslink the night before.

A reminder of the short-lived Anglia Crosslink service; on 24 March 2002, 170208 awaits departure from Woking on the 1745 (Sun) to Ipswich.
Stagecoach London's Barking based E200 36294 Passes Valentines Park in Ilford whilst operating as Run No.402 on 462's which crosslinks to the 362 later in the evening.
Yes, I finally did it! Metroline DEL2157 (LK16DDN) is seen blinded for the non-existent route U11. (This vehicle has a 2010 blindset).
Route U11 was going to be a service from Uxbridge Station to Uxbridge Industrial Estate via St John's Road, which is a very short distance. This was going to crosslink with buses on route U10, hence why U10s have a 40-minute stand time at Uxbridge.
No, 2 EHs did not actually transfer from SW to A. These two (21+32) instead made an interesting appearance on the SW/155 crosslink. Then disappeared with the morning, and I later saw this one deadrun via Clapham Junction lol.
Looks that the blind set was upgraded so SW didn't horrify the 93 poshies with their talents 😂
Oh, and how on earth was I in the position to catch this you might ask? No, not the Tardis. Well, I was in Sutton at 8am, wanting to start a Surrey bash with the 420. Had to ditch everything loool (shame I didn't make that bleating MMC on the 3 though)
DE20022 (YX09HJJ) leaves Hillingdon Station whilst operating route 698 to West Drayton.
With the 698 moving over to London Sovereign, the afternoon single decker journey and crosslink with the 216 will be withdrawn.
Having seen it on the GPS on my way back from the previous photo, I figured lunch could wait another hour...
A reasonably uncommon type to frequent the Sunday 42A service during the day (the last trip sometimes crosslinks an E200 type), First Essex (Chelmsford) ADL Enviro200MMC YX66WBG (44662) climbs past Hockerill College on Dunmow Road in Bishops Stortford starting out a journey to Galleywood 12/12/21

Special:
- Cadillac was formed from the remnants of the Henry Ford Company when Henry Ford departed along with several of his key partners and the company was dissolved. With the intent of liquidating the firm's assets, Ford's financial backers, William Murphy and Lemuel Bowen called in engineer Henry M. Leland to appraise the plant and equipment prior to selling them. Instead, Leland persuaded them to continue the automobile business using Leland's proven 1-cylinder engine. Henry Ford's departure required a new name, and on August 22, 1902, the company reformed as the Cadillac Automobile Company.
- The Cadillac automobile was named after the 17th century French explorer Antoine Laumet de La Mothe, sieur de Cadillac, who founded Detroit in 1701.
- Cadillac was purchased by the General Motors conglomerate in 1909. Cadillac became General Motors' prestige division, devoted to the production of large luxury vehicles. In the United States, the name became a synonym for "high quality", used in such phrases as "the Cadillac of watches," referring to a Rolex. In English usage outside North America, other brands are used in such phrases - usually Rolls-Royce.
- The Cadillac line was also GM's default marque for "commercial chassis" institutional vehicles, such as limousines, ambulances, hearses, and funeral home flower cars. The latter three of which were custom built by aftermarket manufacturers: Cadillac does not produce any such vehicles in factory.
- "DeVilles", derived from “De Ville” (French for “town”), has always been GM's top-selling luxury series and featured class-leading automotive technology.
- This third generation (1965-1970) was re-designed by Bill Mitchell and Stanley Parker (Cadillac Studio: tailfins canted slightly downward, and sharp distinct body lines replaced the rounded look) and assembled at the Detroit Assembly, Detroit, Michigan - USA.
- The 1970 Cadillac DeVille Series 68300 was available as this 2-door Convertible, as 2-door 68347 Coupé DeVille (76,043 units built), as 4-door 68349 Sedan DeVille (83,274 units built) and as 4-door 68369 Hardtop Sedan DeVille (7,230 units built).
If in a bad day, pick something easier as a photo subject...
With the daily allocations on Routes 5/6 between Saffron Walden and Bishops Stortford via Stansted Airport, it is usually the case that a bus from the route crosslinks to Route 301 during the evening to operate the penultimate southbound trip to Bishops Stortford via Quendon, as such this evening proved.
Stephensons of Essex Dennis Dart/Alexander Pointer EU03CFX (403) picks up the duty passing under overcast skies along Silver Street in Stansted Mountfitchet working Route 301 towards Bishops Stortford 27/05/21
Late at night, Uxbridge buses run on the 207 as a crosslink for N207. Here, Metroline's TE1571 (LK08FNE) is seen alighting passengers at Southall Police Station.
An amazing colourful walkway that runs between One Canada Square in Canary Wharf and the Crosslink Railway.
Typical - the one shot I had come to London for and it was the only one I lost the sun on! The B1 was perfectly lit two coach lengths back but the sun dipped at the last moment. It had been briefly checked waiting for 66 177 to clear the junction with the Angerstein Wharf - Neasden sand, resulting in the only occasion I have ever seen two trains meet here in an otherwise quiet backwater of the London railway network. These weekly Steam Dreams charters to Windsor must be the only booked regular passenger train to traverse the normally freight only lines here since the cessation of the short lived Anglia Railways Crosslink service between Basingstoke and Ipswich back in 2000/2001.
A former local oddity, of which I only got phone shots. Well, no longer.
And best is, I was only walking by, when I spotted this! Served right in the platter!
330 used to solidly Trident; few months ago a 473 crosslink was introduced, increasing Scania appearances, whilst at the same time E400MMCs displaced the older fleet. So OG E400s are still the least common thing to spot working the route.
What route was this working?
Front blinds say 667, but I know that doesn't go Romford.
Side blinds say 686. But 686 operates to the west of Romford.
Rear blinds say 673, which I know runs from Arriva's Barking (DX) garage crosslinking with a duty on the 173.
I think it's a 649 or 650 or 651 but have no clue. Help?
Go-Ahead London: PN09 EKT/ 871 on something something to somewhere in Romford.
Route 153 transferred to Waterloo (RA) garage on the 28th of August. Crosslinks were inevitable however I wouldn’t have thought it would be this way around. The 153 is a rather residential route between Angel and Holloway Road which include rather tight roads, these were challenging but we managed it without a scrape.
VH45129 (LJ15JZE) is seen on the 696 at Hesa Road. The 696 is a busy school bus route and has moved from AV to HH along with the 697. These after doing the 696/7 would crosslink over to the H91.
Since the route was created this is the FIRST EVER hybrid to be on the route! I feel so proud to have been here for this new generation! I’m sure the children will love these new Gemini 3s (both 18 & 67 plates from the 105 maybe)
This was working ON ibus and I had noticed only this running one hole hour late!
But seriously - thank you London Amazing United! LET THE NEW GENERATION COMMENCE! Not just this but no hybrid has been on the route - but today marked the first ever since the 696 was created (2004) two years before I was here!
32483 AU53 HKA makes a debut on the 35 standing at Debden Broadway, a first & last time working. As of 30/11/21 (when this photo was taken), the 35 hasn’t seen a decker since.
The 35 is a recent route operated by First Essex on Tuesday’s only as part of Debden Park schools contract with First Essex. The reason it only runs on one day of the week is to accommodate the schools early finish & also crosslink onto the S33, another contracted school route First Essex run. When the route first launched, there was no official allocation for it would use spare deckers out of Chelmsford, which would prior to going onto the 35 run on the S33 in the morning from Ongar to Debden Park School. But since December 2021, it has been allocated to the former Park & Ride E200MMC’s (6 Cylinder SN66s) alongside the S33. The 35 does 2 trips from & to DPS. One in the morning at 8:37 & one in the afternoon from Chelmsford Market at 13:20 scheduled to take 65 minutes end to end.
35 has usefulness for the people in Epping, North Weald & Ongar as it is a direct route to Chelmsford & is a lot quicker than First Essex 46, in which you’d have to get a 420 to Ongar then the 46 which is every 2 hours so timing is also a key.
When I started to lose hope I will ever get to tick off H19 on a decker, this VLA pops on the H18 (and H19 early morning but then it came off).
Believe it or not, it took bleating 4hours for the bus to finally crosslink, as the drivers cut corners by swapping buses rather than reblinding them initially
Either way, finally completing this working fills up quite a nice gap for me 😄
Also featuring VW1763 (LK59CXA).
You may have noticed every weekday of this week and a few of the last, a rare Scania escaped on the 330 in the afternoons.
Well it turns out the new contract now incorporates a route 473 crosslink - which uses primarily OmniCities, hence all these.
Also means this working automatically becomes killed! Having done 2 E400 330s - a route that is normally solid TA - I was only missing this in my old ends.
After the bus finished this particular run, I got a ride on it at 19:20 from "Wanstead Park" (actually Forest Gate, don't get me started on the WP name) to Canning Town where this got subbed - as scheduled. 330 is a short route anyway.
By the way I've attempted to snap this working before last week, but the damn fool the driver of that was, he changed the blinds to "Not in Service" before the flyover at Canning Town - so over the top! Psst he was wearing a hi-vis when driving too!
GR went a bit more exciting than usual and brought back a decker on the H circulars for day.
Annoyingly, I've already done H18, but not H19! And it took ages for the bus to finally change routes, also ignoring the scheduled crosslinks initially as the drivers kept swapping buses rather than reblinding
Also featuring DE1896 (YX60BZO).
HV G3s were recently introduced onto the 137 as late night crosslinks onto the N137. After the loss of routes 133 and 333, the 137/N137 moved into BN fully, so now their crosslinks, and N137s allocation, are ES' from the 417.
Crossrail Place is the terminal for access to the crosslink trains and also contains a roof garden, the Big Easy Restaurant, shops and cinema. The Adams Plaza Bridge on the right has a colourful art design by Camille Walala and the bridge leads into Crossrail Place.
My second TE catch on the 207/N207. However this one (09reg at least, one I caught was a G 12reg muahaha) will become normal as N207 commences operation from UX bus garage, as late 207s pose as crosslinks to it.
There are few more TEs on it already, and even one G1 VW! I don't think I can catch that one, so good luck to those trying!
Will be back for N207 and other fancy night bus stuff……
1L90 1131 Basingstoke-Colchester. from 2000 until 2002 Anglia operated a very useful but sporadic service between Basingstoke and East Anglia (as far as Ipswich) which ran via Woking and Hounslow and then along the north London line via Willesden and Highbury & Islington to Stratford. It was a useful link across London without requiring a change but capacity issues on the North London Line were the reason for the lack of a clockface timetable and only six trains a day in each direction, as the NLL became busier the timetable constraints were insurmountable and the service was withdrawn at the end of September 2002.
VNs usually only do 425 in the evenings when it crosslinks with the N550/N551, but daytime appearances were a bit rare, albeit gotten slightly more common in the last few months.
HV G3s were recently introduced onto the 137 as late night crosslinks onto the N137. After the loss of routes 133 and 333, the 137/N137 moved into BN fully, so now their crosslinks, and N137s allocation, are ES' from the 417.
A reminder of the short-lived Anglia Crosslink service; on 20 June 2002 170399 approaches Feltham on the 1804 Basingstoke - Norwich.
Having just come into Harrow as an H18, ASE 6100 is the process of being prepped for a crosslink working onto the H19 whilst on stand at Harrow Bus Station
VH45161 seen on the commonly-snapped-by-me (you'll have to treat that as a word) 681-281 crosslink duty, loading passengers with the great Twickenham Stadium behind it. LJ65 FZT was new in 2015 for route 139 and is now at Fulwell for routes 71, 85, 481 and 681. Volvo B5LH / Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 Mk2 (Stealth body). Taken 04/01/2023.

The Royal Hospital Haslar was founded in 1753 and was designed and built by Theodore Jacobsen between 1946-1961. When it was constructed it was both the largest hospital and brick built building in England. Britain's first Naval Hospital which span a huge area on the coastline of Gosport is also the site of a massive unmarked grave site with an estimated 7,785 buried sailors...
Passed me when I sat by Epsom Downs mainly snapping the Derby shuttles. A little bonus. This same bus later came back as route 480, so that's a crosslink I learned about.
Done this route on an OmniDekka back in the day thankfully - can't believe Metrobus is losing those iconic beasts!!
Today is the first day of the school duty of route 481, operated by Abellio London instead of RATP Group; the 481D, receiving its new Wrightbus Streetdeck Electroliners from route 111. The 481D is a crosslink duty from 111, meaning 111s turn into 481Ds in the morning, then back into 111s, and vice versa in the afternoon. 3014 (LV72 BZH) is seen here at Park Road, Teddington, on an afternoon 481D to Kingston. This was the only Electroliner on the afternoon duty, as the other bus was a New Routemaster. Taken 20/02/2023.

shows many satellite trails. The image above shows 1 of the 223 sub-exposures with 4 parallel trails close together. The exact date and time of the image and the location on Earth have been used on Calsky.com to determine that these trails are from a group of debris from the explosion that occurred on may 1, 1991 in the 2nd Delta 1 stage of the Delta 2910 Nimbus 6 Launch vehicle. This was the eighth Delta 2nd Stage to experience a severe fragmentation. The event occurred nearly 191 months after the successful deployment of the Nimbus 6 payload on june 12, 1975 . Cause of the explosion is assessed to be related to the estimated 245 kg of residual propellants on board and characteristics of the sun-synchronous orbit. This group (Delta 1 DEB 21368 1975-052CN ) is one of many groups with over 350 fragments in total.
The worst debris generating incidents have been:
1) Destruction of the Chinese Fengyun 1-C (FE-1C) as anti-satellite capability demonstration by the Chinese Government on January 11, 2007 :>300.000 fragments.
2) The collision of the Iridium 33 and Cosmos 2251 satellites on February 10, 2009 :> 200.000 fragments.
