This crossing of the river at the end of Avenue A has been closed to auto traffic for years, but pedestrians and cyclists can still cross during good weather using the elevated sidewalk adjacent to the algae covered former street crossing.

In Ketchikan, Alaska there were guards to stop traffic for the visitors from the tour ships. I guess they think we might act like a group of elementary school children --- In my case they assumed correctly!
