I was here experimenting with cross-processing technique in Photoshop resulting in a green/pink/orange -ish tint. I actually like it. This type of processing may fit for "arty farty" type of shots .:)
It was a tomato soup kind of night, and it was a "I got a terrible bunch of shots of the soup before it cooled too much, so I messed around with the image a little to distract people" kind of night, too.
I adapted a tutorial Danny posted on his blog for fake cross-processing in Photoshop. Since I have Paint Shop Pro, and my image was different than his example, I got different results.
I do prefer to stick to a little Levels/Curves adjustment if at all possible, but sometimes it's fun to play with the image. And sometimes it's necessary.

The petals of one single red rose (on the neglected rose bush) still cling to the stem. Everything's so parched, the flower's practically drying itself.
I wanted to try portraiture more--my work has been mostly aviation for a few months now...it's time to get back into a more subtle realm.

Film - Fuji Provia 400F
Process - Cross processed C-41
This is the first roll of film I have shot with a Nikon N70. Unfortunately, the camera doesn't seem to want to always advance the film. I don't know, yet, if I want to repair it or set it aside and/or sell it.
Since it was a new camera, I gave it some 20-year-expired slide film and had it cross-processed. I'm disappointed that I didn't have wilder color effects - I almost wonder if they might have tuned the images post-scan.
